Private Viewing of the Crown Jewels

You'll be able to view the jewels away from the crowds and enjoy a behind-the scenes look at a unique working collection of royal regalia, used by the late Queen at national events, including the annual State Opening of Parliament.

This experience is a private viewing of the British Royal Crown Jewels of London and Ceremony of The Keys at the Tower of London.

The Ceremony of the Keys is the traditional locking up of the Tower of London, which you'll be able to witness and take part in. Inside the battlements of this historic fortress, the Ceremony of the Keys is one of the oldest and most colourful surviving ceremonies of its kind, having been enacted every night without fail for over 700 years, and still remains the same today.

Britain’s Crown Jewels have been held safe in The Tower of London for over 600 years. As part of the Royal Collection, these priceless regalia are symbols of the British monarchy and hold deep religious and cultural significance in the British nation’s history.

You'll be able to view the jewels away from the crowds and enjoy a behind-the scenes look at a unique working collection of royal regalia, still used by The Queen at national events, including the annual State Opening of Parliament. The Jewel House Wardens will also be on hand to share their wealth of knowledge.

An Example Itinerary:

18.30 Guests arrive promptly at the West Gate and are met by a Yeoman Warder. Guests are taken on an external tour of the Tower of London including Traitors Gate and the Execution Site.

19:15 Guests arrive at the Jewel House and greeted by the Duty Exhibitor who will then invite you through to the Treasury for a guided tour of the Crown Jewels.

20:00 Guests exit the Jewel House and are escorted to the West Gate for departure.

21:30 Guests promptly return to the West Gate and names are checked and are gathered and briefed on the Ceremony of the Keys.

21:45 Guests are assembled at Traitors Gate ready for the Ceremony.

21:53 Ceremony of the Keys

22:05 Ceremony ends and guests depart via the West Gate.
