Located in the 2-storey Pineapple House, Round Hill’s rooms are designed by none other than Ralph Lauren, who loves Round Hill so much he not only has a villa there but often is inspired by Jamaica for many of his collections. The villas are all privately-owned and uniquely decorated, so they each have a super comfortable yet ‘internationally luxurious’ individual feel.
Villas have from 1 – 6 bedrooms and are categorised as either ‘Classic’ (the more authentically Caribbean in style) or ‘Signature’ (a more contemporary style, but still with a strong Caribbean sense of place).
Each villa benefits from a dedicated resident staff, who take a huge pride in daily housekeeping, providing a phenomenal daily breakfast (the fresh fruit each morning was off the charts) and generally making you feel at home whilst ensuring you want for nothing. Many of the villa staff have been here for so long that they’re Round Hill legends – Ms Carmen’s banana pancakes are famous world-wide, as is she!
All the villas have stunning gardens, most have private pools, and the locations, views and ‘outdoor living’ vibe really do stand up against the best of luxury villas across the Caribbean. They are perfect for families, groups of friends, or anyone looking for that bit more privacy.
When you stay in one of the villas, you’re just as much of a hotel guest as if you were staying in one of the hotel’s rooms, and you have full access to the restaurants, spa, kids’ club etc. The Pineapple Kids’ Club was especially impressive, and in addition to babysitting and nanny services, it offers some of the most creative, inventive, and immersive activities and events that we’ve seen in a hotel – definitely one of the reasons why Round Hill has such a high repeat-rate amongst families.
