About this Experience
Journeying into the selva—as locals affectionately call the jungle—is only possible by river, along the mighty Amazon. Originating in the Andes of Peru, the Rio Amazonas flows more than 4,000 miles toward the Atlantic Ocean, weaving through the planet’s most biodiverse rainforest. The Amazon is home to over one-third of all known animal species, with thousands more still being discovered.
Peru offers the most direct gateway to this untouched wilderness. The adventure begins in Iquitos, a remote Amazonian city accessible by a short flight from Lima or Cusco. From here, your luxury vessel sets course for the heart of the jungle, navigating the serene headwaters of the Amazon River and the rich ecosystems of the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve.
Designed to blend effortlessly with its surroundings, the river ship features 20 spacious Design Suites inspired by the region’s blackwater lagoons. With panoramic views, locally crafted details, and modern sophistication, every corner of the vessel invites a deeper connection to the landscape.
The Experience
Each day brings a new opportunity for discovery. Led by naturalists native to the Amazon, small-group excursions take you into the rainforest’s most elusive pockets—by skiff, on foot, or through winding tributaries. Their deep knowledge and trained eyes uncover wildlife hidden to the untrained observer: pink dolphins, sloths, howler monkeys, caimans, and a kaleidoscope of tropical birds.
Back on board, unwind in elegant social spaces or savor Amazonian cuisine curated by renowned Peruvian chef, whose dishes highlight indigenous ingredients with a refined touch. Think river fish grilled to perfection, exotic fruits, and vibrant Amazonian herbs—each meal is a culinary journey in itself.
In between explorations, relax on the open-air observation deck, indulge in a spa treatment, or simply soak in the serenity of the river that pulses through the soul of South America.
