Fresh off its recent makeover, Kitchen at Holmes has become the talk of Marylebone, drawing you in with the allure of a swanky bar and an open kitchen featuring a captivating fireplace. The decor effortlessly balances cool sophistication with a relaxed vibe, employing a palette of black-grey tones. The spacious and airy interior beckons you to unwind – a perfect spot to kick back and soak in the vibes. Our visit during the evening, accentuated by dimmed lighting, added a layer of romance — perfect for a casual date night.

Discover the alluring charm of Kitchen at Holmes in Marylebone, where Chef Stefano Motta's global-inspired menu and cosy ambiance create an unforgettable dining experience.
Stroll along the bustling Baker Street and you’ll find Kitchen at Holmes. With its white-washed facade and snazzy 'K' logo (with a few Sherlockian caps hanging around for nostalgia's sake), the real charm of this restaurant and bar lies in the genial atmosphere and the straightforward, delicious food.
Chef Stefano Motta has crafted a menu inspired by his globetrotting experiences, bringing a fusion of flavours from Europe and the Mediterranean. The menus are divided into "land," "field," and "sea," making it easy to embark on a flavour-packed adventure. The entrees and sharing plates menu is delightful. We dove into the likes of Zucchini Fritti, Tuna Tartare, Padron Peppers with Lime & Maldon salt, Lamb Kofta, and Artichokes in Romesco & Za’atar sauce. The standout? Zucchini Fritti, surprising in its simple, crunchy glory.
For mains, we savoured a spiced roast half chicken and a lobster linguine, both delivering on taste and satisfaction. Sides of chunky chips and seasoned broccoli rounded out our hearty meal. Drinks were simple—a full-bodied glass of Merlot and the signature cocktail Gate Closed, a sweet treat to cap off the evening.
Wrapping up our evening on a sweet note, we surrendered to the allure of the best tiramisu I’ve ever tasted. Kitchen at Holmes, with its unassuming charm and Chef Motta's culinary prowess, has proven itself to be more than a restaurant; it's an experience, inviting you to savour every moment. Whether you're a local looking for a familiar escape or a visitor seeking culinary delights, Kitchen at Holmes promises a journey that transcends the ordinary – a personal and flavourful exploration that lingers in the memory long after the last bite.
