Scrum And Spice

Brigadiers is bringing the heat this July with a match-day experience that’s anything but ordinary. To celebrate the Lion's Rugby Tour, (July 9th, 19th, 26th and August 2nd), the Indian BBQ hotspot opens early for a spice-laden brunch featuring the likes of Goan sausage pao, masala omelettes and chilli cheese naan. Ace Bakes

Donutelier’s limited-edition strawberry confections is providing some serious sweetness this Wimbledon season. The boutique bakery which is famed for its ornate, artisanal pastries has launched two elegant treats in celebration of Britain’s most iconic tennis tournament. Available at its stylish Carnaby Street and Charing Cross outposts, the Fraisier donut and Strawberry Cream Croissant are layered with fresh strawberries, velvety Chantilly cream, and seasonal jam. Sunset Sounds

JOIA’s Solicito Sundays are back and hotter than ever. Teaming up with international label Disco Express, these rooftop summer sessions light up the skyline at Battersea Power Station on the last Sunday of each month (27 July & 31 August still to come). From 3–8pm, expect a sun-drenched soundtrack of Balearic beats, Afro-House and Latin grooves, plus Iberian tapas, flame-grilled skewers, and cocktail slushies like the Zircao Margarita. Plates with Purpose

The Peckham Weekender returns from 4–6 July, bigger, bolder and more delicious than ever. Mr Bao has once again rallied 17 of SE15’s favourite eateries. From Forza Wine to White Men Can’t Jerk, this is a three day celebration of community and cuisine. Each spot is serving up £10 specials, with £1 from each dish donated to Peckham Pantry, supporting low-income families across Southwark. Expect everything from crab croquettes and jerk buns to margaritas and margaritas, making it feel-good dining at its best.

Chef's Kiss

On 10th July, culinary worlds collide at Pavyllon London as the legendary Yannick Alléno welcomes James Knappett of Kitchen Table for a one-night-only six-course spectacle. As part of the Four Seasons’ Counter Culture series, this exclusive collaboration fuses French haute cuisine with British seasonality, showcasing pioneering techniques like cryoconcentration and Alléno’s famed flavour extractions. With sommelier Sandia Chang curating optional wine pairings, and seats at the intimate counter or refined dining room, this is an unmissable evening of gastronomic theatre for discerning diners.

London’s cult-favourite matcha bar How Matcha! is opening its doors in Notting Hill this August, bringing green-fuelled good vibes across three calming floors. Set on Ledbury Road, the new space features a tranquil garden terrace, a serene Kintsugi Room, and a homely ground floor perfect for slow sips and long hangs. Expect signature favourites like the Dirty Matcha and Wasabi Shot, alongside new exclusives like the Matcha Noir and Sunburst, just in time for summer. From 30 June to 13 July, Langan’s Brasserie serves up a stylish slice of Wimbledon in the heart of Mayfair, transforming its elegant Mural Bar into a chic courtside retreat. Guests can catch every match live while indulging in the exclusive Wimbledon Final Menu, featuring playful, elevated nods to the tournament, from classic Strawberries and Cream to a whimsical ‘New Balls Please’ white chocolate mousse with Pimms. Scandi Sizzle

Ekstedt at The Yard is turning up the heat on London’s early dining scene with Taste of Scandinavia—a new three-course open-fire tasting menu for £59, served Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 6–7pm. Cultural Canvas

This July, Bird in Hand winery proudly supports the landmark European debut of Emily Kam Kngwarray’s work at Tate Modern, the most comprehensive international exhibition of an Australian First Nations artist to date. Opening alongside NAIDOC Week, the showcase presents over 60 evocative pieces that celebrate Kngwarray’s rich heritage and artistic legacy. Paris in Picadilly

Brasserie Zédel is bringing a touch of Paris to Piccadilly with a three-night celebration for Bastille Day, featuring live performances from the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. From 12–14 July, guests can enjoy the brasserie’s classic French fare to the sounds of a live quartet, whether in the grand foyer or centre stage in the brasserie. This July, Langan’s Brasserie turns up the heat with a double dose of high-octane nightlife. On 1st July, Fabio Fanni of Locale Firenze brings an exclusive Italian cocktail takeover, blending bold spirits with chic lounge vibes and a lively DJ-fueled afterparty. Then, on 2nd July, the Hot Tropics Summer Party transforms Upstairs into a vibrant Havana-inspired escape, complete with live DJs, feather dancers, and cocktails from Belvedere Vodka and Volcán Tequila. Expect style, rhythm, and revelry because this is set to be Mayfair’s ultimate summer celebration.

Back at the Tate Modern for its seventh instalment, {PAIRED} returns on 5th July with a genre-defying fusion of culinary craft and cutting-edge sound. This summer edition unites Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard and Al Doyle with Carousel’s celebrated chef Ollie Templeton for a multi-sensory evening where each dish sings in harmony with the music.
