Review: The best of Beauty 2017
Here at The Sybarite, we love a good beauty find. And we know, that most of you probably do too!
We bring to you a series of posts rounding up the whirlwind that has been 2017. Whether it is our favourite beauty products, restaurants or hotels, we bring you our favourites from the past 12 months.
Fenty Beauty
Absolutely stole the show this year. After hints of a beauty line in 2015, Rihanna finally graced us with her breathtaking range this year, which featured 40 shades of foundation, from the lightest of light to the darkest - which has quickly set a precedent for all other beauty brands and kick-started the campaign to get a wider variety of shades in all products and brands. Not only that, but the products are actually really good!
Glossier
Seemingly burst onto the scene this year. The year started with people stocking up on trips abroad as it wasn't readily available in the UK. However, this all changed when they started to ship to the UK and we could load up on cult favourites like Boy Brow and Milk Jelly Cleanser to no end. The Sybarite contributor Roisin loves them, and since the start of UK shipping in October has found them a staple in her makeup bag because they are easy to use, versatile and easily buildable. There's no fear of accidentally applying too much and looking a bit scary!
Huda Beauty
Prior to the release of the Desert Dusk Eyeshadow Palette, if you wanted to travel and have stunning eye makeup you would have to transport several different products around with you. With a huge range of shades, textures and finishes, this palette is the one that we will be carrying with us into the new year, and probably the year after that as well!
Axiology
caught our eye late on in 2017, and it was the 100% natural, organic and vegan lipsticks that have amazing pigmentation that has kept us coming back for more! Here at The Sybarite, we are so excited to see the progression of this amazing brand in 2018.
