Throughout the evening, we were taken on a journey through Laurent-Perrier’s fascinating story, including the time during World War II when Marie-Louise Lanson de Nonancourt took over the business after her two sons joined the French Resistance. As we learned more about the Champagne house and the specific processes that they abide by to ensure only the highest quality products bear the Laurent-Perrier stamp, we were treated to an array of small dishes from Angler that complemented the Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée Brut, the Grand Siècle--which is a blend of three different vintages--and the Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé. The delicious spread included truffle arancini with black truffle mayonnaise; venison bolognese croquettes; chestnut hummus with grilled pitta bread; a caramelised onion flatbread with Reblochon cheese and Alsace bacon; and Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé Champagne truffles. “A Glistening Christmas” will run until the end of the festive period and tables can be booked here.
