Curated Experience - six day itinerary for carnival in Rio de Janeiro

The Sybarite is delighted to offer its members an exclusive and curated experience in partnership with Experience Carnival to enjoy and live the most famous Carnival of all times, Rio de Janeiro’s Carnival.

Members will fly down the coast to the stunning island of Ilha Grande on the Costa Verde where they will stop for lunch and spend the afternoon on this paradise island before being flown back to Rio to see the sun setting over Ipanema beach.

Day 1 - Friday 25th

The Sybarite members will arrive in Rio de Janeiro and will be transferred by an executive car to the Fasano Hotel to check into their deluxe beachfront room. After they’ve settled in, their Experience Carnival host will arrive to talk them through the experience and most importantly help them try their costume on.

The Sybarite members will spend the afternoon at the stunning Ipanema beach relaxing by the sea with beach waiter service ensuring a cool drink is in their hands at all times.

Day 2 - Saturday 26th

Saturday daytime, members will get to see some of the world's most famous Carnival street parties known as Blocos alongside an exclusive guide.

With thousands of Blocos happening in the city over Carnival there is literally something for everyone, from Samba to the Beatles to road blocking dance parties…


Members will be guided to the Bloco that suits them best.

Day 3 - Sunday 27th

The Sybarite members will be immersed in the tradition of Carnival through the intoxicating rhythm of samba and the drums in an hour private lesson. The Queen of the drumming section and the Master of the Drums, which are the two highest positions that can be held within a samba school, will instruct their lesson.

These two gurus will take members through the principles of samba and drumming for them to experience first -hand the magic and intense energy of this Brazilian tradition.

Day 4 - Monday 28th

Today is the day where The Sybarite members will become a part of the show. After a day of relaxing in your five-star luxury, in the evening your personal glam squad will come to the hotel to get them ready with hair and makeup done by top Brazilian artists to compliment their costume theme.

Your Experience Carnival host will pick members up from the hotel and take them to Sambódromo where the host will help members with their costume for the most exhilarating experience.

After the parade, members will be taken to a VIP hospitality area known as a Camerote to watch the greatest show on earth from the best seats in the house.
The bigger Camerotes can span over three floors, with full hospitality and famous Djs and bands.
With the parades not finishing until 6:00 am, members will take advantage of the Camerote areas to relax, eat and drink whilst watching the incredible show unfold.

Day 5 - Tuesday 1st

On day 5, after all the excitement of the parade, members will relax and see the beautiful city in a private helicopter tour. The Sybarite members will see Carnival from a unique perspective, as you fly over the bustling street parties and watch the parades snake their way through the city.

Members will take an aerial tour over Rio, offering breathtaking views of the iconic skyline and famous sites.

Members will fly down the coast to the stunning island of Ilha Grande on the Costa Verde where they will stop for lunch and spend the afternoon on this paradise island before being flown back to Rio to see the sun setting over Ipanema beach.

Day 6 - Wednesday 2nd

The Sybarite members will be taken via private transfer to the airport for their journey home.

Located in Rio de Janeiro’s legendary Ipanema beach, Fasano Hotel, designed by Philippe Starck, pays homage to the golden age of Bossa Nova.

Channelling the heyday of Jobim and Gilberto, the staff wears Ocimar Versolato–inspired uniforms. Distinctly Brazilian materials like Îpe flooring and the enormous piquiá tree stump used for the reception desk are mixed with Grecian marble, 19th-century Argentinean brick and Chinese onyx.

The guest rooms have Sergio Rodrigues furnishings and Starckian ear-shaped mirrors and come with private balconies affording sweeping views.

The Al Mare restaurant explores diverse aspects of Mediterranean cuisine, with a special focus on seafood, while the Fasano Spa offers relaxing therapies and treatments.
