The Experience
Arrive on a Monday and be greeted by the tranquil charm of one of Bornholm's finest hotels. Over the next few days, immerse yourself in the captivating world of chocolate under the expert guidance of Hans Jørn & Heidrun Koefoed, the creators behind Pure Rainforest Chocolate by Koefoed. Known for their commitment to ethical sourcing and sustainability, the Koefoeds ensure that every bar of chocolate not only delights but also supports the livelihoods of small communities in Fiji and preserves their pristine rainforest.
From Tuesday to Thursday, you'll have the opportunity to create your personalised chocolate masterpieces. Experiment with a variety of flavours and design custom packaging with the help of renowned graphic designer Allan Funder Kaas. Capture the beauty of your creations with a professional photoshoot by esteemed food photographer Sune Rasborg. You'll leave with samples of your delectable creations, while the final product will be carefully crafted and delivered to you after the workshop.
But the experience doesn’t end with chocolate-making. Your afternoons will be filled with curated excursions that delve into Bornholm's rich culture and natural splendor. Discover local food producers, meet talented artisans, and explore the island's breathtaking landscapes, with activities tailored to your interests.
Evenings are reserved for sumptuous dinners featuring the best of local and international cuisine, complemented by fine wines and the island’s renowned hospitality.
This immersive workshop offers more than just a culinary adventure; it's a holistic experience that blends the artistry of chocolate-making with the vibrant culture and stunning beauty of Bornholm. By participating, you’ll not only create your own unique chocolate but also support sustainable practices and the well-being of the Fijian communities that grow the cacao.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to support the village in Fiji and global reforestation efforts. By participating, you'll contribute to the preservation of rainforests and help sustain their vital ecosystems.
