This is a unique luxury accommodation housed inside a restored and reimagined stationary train on the disused Selati railway bridge over the Sabie River at Skukuza, Kruger National Park.

The Rooms
All rooms offer guests a luxury experience, accompanied by fine dining and other leisure experiences onsite, such as daily game drives. It is the first of its kind in the world, and it pays homage to the guests who explored the park nearly 100 years ago, using the very same railway. The name has its origins in the history of Chief Warrior Shalati, who lived near this river in the region of Skukuza and ruled over the Tebula tribe. Thought-provoking, unique design is core to the offering, but the holistic experience is centred humanness, cultural nuances, the people involved in the making of every element, and ultimately the kindness with which they receive their guests.
Carriage Suites
These stunning African designed suites provide the perfect views along the Sabie River. A gorgeous pool and deck offers a swimming vista that will certainly take your breath away as you witness crocodiles, hippos buffaloes and elephants greet you meters below.
Bridge Suites
Also offering spectacular views of the Sabie River, the Bridge Suites is a stunning accommodation experience where you'll feel completely at one with nature.

The Game Drive Experience
Game drives are undertaken by passionate and professional rangers who are eager to share their in-depth knowledge and stories of the fascinating wildlife and surroundings. With a vast range of pristine wilderness to explore in the Kruger National Park and a plethora of African animals to spot, each game drive encounter offers a story of its own.
What's Included:
Accommodation, all meals, teas and coffees, daily soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits and beers. It also includes two game drives daily in open game drive vehicles. There is also a complementary return road transfers between the Skukuza Airport and the lodge.
