The sleek creation can be found at Metropole’s ODYSSEY, an alfresco restaurant located on the first floor, headed by Joel Robuchon, who has two other restaurants within the hotel.
The design? Lagerfeld took inspiration from Homer’s The Iliad and The Odyssey as the backdrop for the pool and lounge area, giving it a rather clean, Mediterranean look. The fact that the designer has been residing at the Ulysses villa in Roquebrune-Cap Martine for ten years further shows his relationship to the glitzy Mediterranean and the collaboration could not be more fitting enough with Metropole being a very distinguished hotel in Monte Carlo.
Odyssey is where one can relax in style whilst taking a dip in its heated seawater swimming pool. With a Joel Robuchon menu offering fresh,
gourmet and seasonal dishes for lunchtime and savoury and sweet refreshments throughout the afternoon, well, nothing could be finer. During Thursday evenings until the end of September from 7PM to 10PM, a live band will be playing the night away with cocktails and chic finger food to complement. Other gastronomic delights include ‘Odyssey By Night’ where guests can discover Joel Robuchon’s culinary Mediterranean creations until 30th September 2015.
Hotel Metropole is “a destination in itself” unlike other world-class hotels; Metropole is all about innovative and independent services. It is a place of refinement and charm not to mention it has been awarded Best Hotel in the World 2010 from Leading Hotels of the World.
