Antique collectors will be pleased to know that the most prestigious art and antiques fair, is returning to Berkeley Square from 22-27 September.

The fair will play host to 100 exhibitors showcasing the finest selection of trinkets and antiquities across art, antique, design and the decorative arts spectrum with prices ranging from £500 to £500,000 and above. A showcase of the most sought-after pieces is not one that an art collector should miss.

Besides presenting at Berkeley Square, LAPADA will also feature a selection of antiques belonging to the 18th and 19th century at Mr. Fogg’s  – a bar modeled after the drawing room of fictional explorer Phileas Fogg from the 1873 Around the World in 80 Days novel. LAPADA has selected objects befitting the bar’s theme and will adorn the space transporting visitors to another world of discovery and unique finds. Some pieces one can expect is a late Victorian four-fold screen, a regency convex mirror and an oil painting of the three-masted, 588 –tonne carvel-built ship, Lady Macnaghten, sailing under reduced sail in the original gilt frame.

Charles Wallrock, Founder of Wick Antiques comments: "As a fellow intrepid traveller and a collector of luxury antique furniture, I was thrilled to have been invited by Inception Group to furnish Mr. Fogg's at the forthcoming LAPADA Art & Antiques Fair in Berkeley Square. With great consideration I will line the walls and floors with exquisite furniture including the finest leather armchairs, some of the best globes on the market and exhibition quality ship models. Visitors who are fatigued from business or exotic travels and in need of some restoration can find respite in this luxury emporium to transport themselves to another world. I look forward to offering this experience to Fair guests."

So for those keen to explore the world of Jules Verne, head on over to Mr. Foggs where they will also be found concocting some classic cocktails, tipsy tea and an extended menu throughout the day. For the intrepid antique explorer, a choice of Lanson Champagne, Bombay Sapphire, Whitsable Bay beer and Fentiman’s botanical soft drinks will be the tipple of choice served throughout the day.
