Ever wondered what London Fashion Week looks like from the inside? Paula Pötry, known from her Instagram account VanillaOnTop, gives The Sybarite a look at what happens in the front row of Londons most iconic fashion shows.

"A week full of inspiration and breathtaking designs; bloggers, press, designers ,as well as clients from all over the world, come to see the new Autumn/Winter 2019 collections at the two London Fashion Weeks held each year. Me and my sister Tiia Camilla Pötry, also known as my manager, had the honour to attend several fashion shows and presentations including the Junne, Kalissi, and Magpies & Peacocks shows.

Magpies & Peacocks showed their new collection created from upcycled textiles. It was truly inspiring and interesting to see the perfect hand prints featured in every design. Kalissi took us into a different world; such a colourful and surreal show! It was high fashion with a brave twist and powerful statements. Many pastel shades, as well as different textures like tweed and silk, were surrounding us the entire evening. One of many astounding elements was the exceptional colourful headpieces worn on the catwalk. Hats and turbans made from silk or fur were crucial elements this year in many of the shows.

An interesting element of the Junne shows was the journey it took the viewer into the designers' world; highlighting the feminine qualities in fashion whilst simultaneously portraying it as strong, like an iron fist wearing a velvet glove. The collection has inspired an extraordinary trend for elegant and independent urban females by using completely unique knitting techniques mixed with bold, unconventional design concepts. The show was extremely powerful and thought-provoking, bringing forward plenty of emotions for the entire audience.

We finished our London Fashion Week with the Malan Breton Presentation. I couldn't have imagined a better way to end such an unforgettable week. The presentation was so interactive; the designer took us into his film noir set and we became voyeurs of his vision, an experience that will stick with us long after London Fashion Week. We can't wait for upcoming fashion weeks and the new inspirations and stories they will welcome into the industry."
