Health clubs may seem two a penny these days, but Surrenne is in a league of its own.

When the Emory opened in Knightsbridge earlier this year, it was a welcome addition to the London hotel scene. As the newest venue of the Maybourne Group, who also look after Claridges, The Berkeley and The Connaught, it was in capable hands from inception to opening.

Perhaps though, the property's biggest drawcard is the four level members club located underneath it. Here, hotel guests and members are invited to step into wellbeing haven, Surrenne. Conceptualised by Inge Theron, Maybourne's creative director and founder of Facegym, this impeccably designed space is set to revolutionise the wellness scene.

“Surrenne is a new era of ultra-luxury social wellbeing," Theron said in a press release. "Our concept is founded on science backed evidence-based protocols co-created with the thought leaders of our generation. Where high tech meets modern ritual, we boost human performance across four floors of sumptuously designed, intentionally curated spaces, offering a unique wellness experience, fun fitness, efficacious products, and community.

Whether you are coming for sit-ups or science we have it all perfectly packaged by award-winning designer Remi Tessier and myself. Together, we have redefined luxury wellness.”

Surrenne can't be squeezed into one box as it's services are so far-reaching. Inside its walls, expert minds of doctors, nutritionists, osteopaths, massage therapists and fitness trainers are on hand to revitalise members from the inside out.

Amenities are searingly modern, with high-tech everything on hand. This is offset by the inclusion of special touches, including one-of-a-kind hand soap unique to Surrenne, bespoke robes from Alice Temperley and Alo collaboration activewear in each welcome kit.

How does Surrenne work?

The club has partnered with Virtusan to make use of its scientific advisory board who specialise in critical fields including neuroscience, epigenetics and clinical psychology. Virtusan are a key component in ensuring Surrenne is up to date with key scientific advancements.

Treatment plans begin with a visit to Dr Mark Mikhail from 3 Peaks Health. He looks after the longevity lounge, where members can undertake tests such as blood work diagnostics, VO2 Max testing, microbiome mapping and epigenetic testing. The results of these tests inform the creation of a specialised plan to improve every life aspect.

Who are the specialists at Surrenne?

Part of Surrenne's appeal is providing access to heavily trusted names in the wellness business.

Rose Ferguson oversees nutrition, bringing a holistic approach to living and eating well. As a former 90's model turned nutritionist and functional medicine practitioner, she has a wealth of industry contacts and enviable celebrity client roster.

Tracy Anderson, founder of the Tracy Anderson method, has a dedicated studio within Surrenne. This is her first UK studio and has been designed in exact accordance with her classes to offer maximum benefits. Containing a bouncy ‘Super G Floor’ and MYMODE equipment, the studio has every necessity on hand for a unique, TA-designed workout.

Skincare products and treatments are taken care of by New York’s favourite plastic surgeon, Dr Lara Devgan. The spa menu reads like an absolute dream, with everything from a four hand massage to performance facials available.

What does Surrenne offer?

The Tracy Anderson Floor is entirely dedicated to the trainers' one-of-a-kind studio and retail space.
