Staying in fancy hotels and eating in high-end restaurants is something that we here at The Sybarite absolutely love. And as Sybarite readers, we know you do too!

We are bringing to you a series of posts rounding up the whirlwind that has been 2017. Whether it is beauty products, restaurants, hotels or film & TV, we bring you our favourites from the past 12 months.

The best hotels that we have chosen to share with you are a wide variety, from a stunning picturesque property with sprawling gardens, to a treehouse in Sweden. We have got our 3 favourites that we think you will love, for their sheer luxury and unique features.

The Welcombe Hotel

In Stratford-Upon-Avon, is a stunning hotel with a top class spa, serene Italian gardens, and a golf course fit for anyone, from novice to professional! One of our main contributors Kate recommends The Welcombe as it is perfect if you want a weekend break to escape the madness of city life, and even better suited to a romantic weekend away!

The Ned

As for a luxurious city break, where better than The Ned in London? The old school class, the varying range of rooms and sizes and the exceptional food and drink all lead to this being one of the best places to stay in the capital.

Treehotel

Head to the Treehotel in Sweden, for an exclusive and relaxing break. Embark upon adventures and go exploring, or simply enjoy one another's company and make the most of the spa facilities. It's completely up to you and all of your choices will be good ones!

Oslo

As for restaurants, it was really hard to whittle this list down - but we did and we, personally, think that they are 3 very good choices!

If you want an idyllic brunch location that's easy to get to, we can't recommend Oslo, in Hackney enough. If large wooden benches for brunching with friends, with secluded cosier areas perfect for dates sound right up your street then make sure you pay this Nordic style eatery a visit in the new year.

Town House

For sophisticated fine dining in the heart of central London is more your thing, then visit Town House in Kensington. Town House boasts a stunning menu in a cosy and comfy setting, that is without a doubt perfect for catching up with family and friends.

Ett Hem

Then Ett Hem has to be on your itinerary for whilst you are there! They strive to use only the freshest and most local ingredients possible.
