With summer on our doorstep, what better excuse to get outdoors and enjoy the sunshine than by visiting a cocktail bar. Here at The Sybarite, we are partial to an al fresco aperitivi. Hence, here is our pick of the best alfresco garden and rooftop bars our fair capital has to offer.

The Berkeley

If you want a dip as well as a drink, The Berkeley in Knightsbridge is a must. For a fee, non-guests can get access to the stunning rooftop area, which includes a pool (with a retractable roof for those unpredictable British summer days!) and secret garden with sun loungers.

Coq d’Argent

Enjoy panoramic views of the city on Coq d’Argent’s rooftop bar whilst indulging in their delicious nibbles and selection of spirits. Being in Bank, it's a go-to for dapper suited types and can get quite busy on weekday evenings. Beat the queues by visiting on the weekend.

The Golden Bee

The hip Shoreditch bar has unveiled its new look for summer, including palm trees and a sleek, U-shaped bar serving seasonal and classic cocktails. With speakers placed all around the rooftop, you can enjoy a tipple whilst listening to the DJ play downstairs in the main bar. For those slightly colder evenings, the bar has heaters, blankets and a retractable roof if it rains.

The Ritz

The iconic establishment once again opens the doors to its Champagne Terrace this summer season. Sip on a glass of the Ritz’s very own Ritz Reserve Champagne or other fine wines, whilst overlooking one of London’s most beautiful Royal Parks. If you get peckish, dine on their delectable caviar menu.

Radio Rooftop Bar

Located on the 10th floor of the ME London Hotel, Radio brings lounging and social indulgence to new heights with its heavenly views of the capital’s biggest landmarks. Not only does this chic bar have a fabulous cocktail and wine menu, but it also serves tantalising tapas with a modern twist. For those of you Sybarites looking for a later night, Radio keeps the party going by staying open until 2am Thursday through to Sunday.
