Guided by an experienced foraging expert, this experience invites you to explore Sweden’s forests, lakes, and landscapes on foot and by canoe in search of wild edible plants, herbs, berries, and mushrooms. Each day unfolds at nature’s pace, combining hands-on discovery with hiking, swimming, and time spent fully immersed in the environment. Meals are inspired directly by the ingredients gathered, offering a true field-to-table experience rooted in the rhythms of the season. This is a return to simplicity - an opportunity to slow down, learn traditional skills, and experience the wilderness in its most authentic form.

About This Experience

Sweden’s vast forests and waterways provide the ideal setting for a week-long exploration of wild food traditions. Under expert guidance, guests learn to identify edible species, understand sustainable harvesting practices, and appreciate the connection between landscape and cuisine.

Days are spent travelling through forest trails and across lakes by canoe, discovering seasonal ingredients while also enjoying guided hikes and refreshing swims in pristine waters. Evenings focus on communal preparation and tasting of the day’s harvest, creating a deeply immersive culinary experience that celebrates the natural abundance of the region.

Sample Bespoke Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival & Introduction to Foraging
Arrive in Sweden and transfer to your wilderness accommodation. Meet your guide for an introduction to local ecosystems, safety principles, and seasonal ingredients. Evening welcome meal featuring locally sourced produce.

Days 2–6 - Foraging, Hiking & Canoeing
Spend each day exploring forests and lakes in search of wild edible plants and mushrooms. Travel by foot and canoe between foraging locations.
