It’s the beginning of 2022 and it’s time to get back to the salon to put the shine back in and remove the greys from my hair. I’m excitedly heading to glamorous Belgravia, for an appointment at Neville Hair & Beauty Salon.

Review of New year, best version of you, at Repose, High Street...

Repose, at 40, High Street Kensington, offers a combination of classes and biohacking. Classes include EMA and antigravity while biohacking consists of therapies such as cryotherapy, infrared sauna and photobiomodulation. Unlike any other gym we have visited, Repose provides a calm and contemporary luxurious space where customers can seek clarity and feel comfortable while enjoying fitness and beauty services. And while many London based gyms can be extremely intimidating - industrial style sweat boxes, with men in a grunting competition trying to lift (and loudly drop) the heaviest weights possible, E-pulsive is the very opposite of this. Step off busy High Street Kensington into what feels more like a spa, a calm oasis of white, wood and bright open space. The actual gym area feels bespoke and private, and definitely not overwhelmingly busy. The space is entirely state of the art and high tech. The changing rooms are beautifully laid out with a space for changing, refreshing yourself post workout (think - hairdryers, face wipes, hairspray, tampons) and lockers to store your personal belongings. Although the space might not seem like the biggest, it is all that you really need for the luxury bespoke services that the team offers. There is a bright, luxury ski chalet spa feeling about the entire space.

Review of The Thoughtfulness Behind Gifting A Jo Malone London Scent

Though we’ve been able to head out somewhat given how many times restrictions keep changing, this gifting season has been a challenge unlike any other. Sometimes it’s just nice to pick out items we’re familiar with, items that continue to remain classic and items that are always loved time and time again.  Enter Jo Malone London- scents most of us are familiar with and a brand that we know and love due to its brand spirit and its ability to invoke that classic statement scent as well as being the ideal gifting idea whatever the season or occasion. We wanted to spend more time delving deeper into three particular scents so that you might have a little more of an idea of what each one invokes and evokes. Or perhaps you are new and unsure of the type of fragrant notes you are looking for, whether for yourself or for someone you know. We chose three signature scents all carrying a different olfactory note, each a beauty in themselves.

Women Who Launch - Coco Fletcher, Willow

Before the lockdown, I enjoyed going to my regular classes at studios around London either over my lunch break or on the way home. I always thought that online workouts couldn’t provide me with that little bit of encouragement, in the form of peer pressure, that I got out of going to studios in-person. But beggars can’t be choosers, and I soon found myself following a number of fitness instructors who did Instagram Live workouts and I even subscribed to a few platforms to get exclusive live and on-demand content. But once things started opening up, I realised I really missed the feeling of coming into a studio where the instructors know your name, you get subtle corrections on your form to make sure you don’t hurt yourself, and you feel that incomparable sense of community that only comes with being in a room full of people struggling as you sweat through another marathon of squats.

Modern fitness, an interview with owners of E-Pulsive and...

Time-efficient, low-impact workouts that will help you improve strength and body composition in just 20 minutes. Eladio de Leon and Mario Kaspers started both EMS studio E-Pulsive, as well as alternative therapy haven Repose, alongside the expertise of Daria Ivanova to create optimal results for their clients in their beautiful location in South Kensington. The Sybarite spoke with them on how they started their business, the benefits of EMS and Repose and what the future holds for them. What are both of your backgrounds? Daria - I was brought up by a very supportive family. Most of my relatives are from a professional sporting background, which always directed me into this arena. Finally, I decided to pursue a career in this industry and began working for 6 years with E-Pulsive as an EMS trainer, gaining a lot of experience. After a while I decided to join forces and create the best wellness space in London, if not in the world. Mario has a master in Master Chemical Engineering at Imperial Colleague, then did his PT qualifications in London. Eladio has a degree in International business management, he has studied in different countries and love to explore different cultures. Naturally a connector and an entrepreneur.

Review of Beauty Round Up - Best Luxury Mascaras to Buy Now

However, finding the right mascara for the occasion is not always that simple. It can feel like a minefield, particularly given the number of options that are now on the market, everything from mascaras that give you volume and length to others which promise growth and definition. I’m not really a fan of waterproof mascara, I like to be able to wash it off with a good facial cleanser, so this is always the first test for me. Secondly it’s about finding the best mascara for the effect you are after, and as with the hair on our head, lashes come in different textures and colours, so there isn’t any such thing as a one-size-fits-all mascara. I’ve done a little digging around to find some luxury mascara brands that you may not have heard of, and with a little trial and error I have put my top six together.

Beauty round up – skincare products that we recently tried

Review of Our lifestyle expert reviews the international beauty...

Don’t get me wrong, I have a full vanity in my bedroom with all the tools I want and need, I just value having more hours in bed in the morning and am forever rushing before heading out of the house. This is why I fell in love with lash lifts a few years ago—they make me feel confident, beautiful, and replace the need to curl my lashes and put mascara on.  Because lash lifts involve having chemicals near your eyes, it’s extremely important that the procedure is done by trained experts. Brow Bar is an international beauty group with salons in Moscow, Paris, Baku, Monaco, and London. The team is made up of talented therapists who offer a variety of treatments that help transform the face such as waxing, make-up, facials, eyelash extensions and lifts, and their game-changing eyebrow packages.  Brow Bar London is tucked away inside Eccleston Yards, an open-air hub for creatives and entrepreneurs in the heart of Belgravia. From the moment I walk inside, the salon feels like a place to disconnect from the busy capital.

Featuring Inside the impeccable House of Ormonde Jayne at the Royal

That’s the magic of Ormonde Jayne, an authentic and luxurious bespoke perfumery that is taking the perfumery industry by storm. The Sybarite was invited to visit Ormonde Jayne’s exclusive boutique in The Royal Arcade in Mayfair. Greeted by a wave of unique scents, the store’s wide variety of fragrances and theatrical yet inclusive layout is a delight for the senses. The scents are handmade in London with ingredients from all around the world, sourced and combined by Ormonde Jayne’s own designer, Linda Pilkington. Linda’s interest in perfumery started as a teenager when her mother gave her her first perfume. She was instantly in love with the beauty of fragrances and since then, she has not stopped collecting small miniatures and samples from all over the world. Her strong passion for fragrances has followed Linda her whole life until she finally opened her very first boutique in London. “I didn't plan on opening a boutique. I was making candles for Chanel and when I left the store and I was walking down this Arcade I saw a sign that said 'to let' and I thought, wow it would be so nice to have a boutique here. There was a phone number on the window so I phoned it and I could hear someone's phone ringing next to me. There was a lady standing next to me, it was her boutique and I was ringing her. So we chatted and by the time I arrived home, I said to my husband: “You'll never guess what: I've got a shop!".”
