With Wimbledon in full swing, Duke of York Square is set to erect an outdoor screen for the Women’s Singles Final on 11 July and the Men’s Singles Final on 12 July. VIP ticket holders can enjoy food and drink from Vardo, in addition to front-row deckchair seating. Strawberries & Screen will also see a pop-up bar from Chelsea Grocer and a seasonal retail pop-up from Aesop.
Neighbourhood cafe, sandwich shop, deli and wine bar, Stubby’s, is set to open its doors in Parsons Green Lane on 17 July. Founded by childhood friends Oli Man and Greg Weaver and inspired by Australasian coffee culture, the new spot has been designed around connection. It’s as much a place for chilled morning espressos as it is for languid evenings enjoyed over a bottle of wine. Innovative drinks on the menu include Blueberry & Matcha Cloud Latte, and a Cold Brew & Maple Sea Salt Cloud Latte.
Body care brand, Salt & Stone, has expanded its permanent collection with the return of Lily Yuzu, which was first introduced last year as a limited-edition collaboration with Aritzia. Reimagined with blue packaging, the popular scent is an ode to citrus groves and lush bamboo gardens. Key notes include crisp apple, jasmine, cedar, amber, bergamot, and matcha.
Peckham and Stratford’s Rooftop Cinema Clubs have launched a stellar lineup of films and TV shows to see you through the summer season. Highlights include the Wimbledon Women’s and Men’s Singles Finals, The World Cup Semis and Final, and the Love Island final which airs on 27 July. We challenge you to find a better set-up during this balmy weather.
Desperate for a countryside getaway? Down Hall Hotel, Spa & Estate on the Hertfordshire-Essex border has brought back its live music series, Live from the Lawn. Set against the hotel’s expansive 110-acre gardens, the series features a medley of live music, sunset cocktails, and relaxed summer dining. Highlights include Greg the Sax, Lovelight DJ, Runaway South, and Gary Winter. Expect Ibiza beats alongside smooth jazz classics.
Beloved by A-listers including Candice Swanepoel and Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner, JETSET Pilates has made its way across the pond, arriving in London for the first time this July. The brainchild of Tamara Galinsky, JETSET comprises a 50-minute music-led reformer class that combines spring-based resistance work with dynamic sequencing. It may be low-intensity, but your muscles will be working overtime!
The Hoxton Edinburgh has launched a new Hedonistic Brunch series featuring standout wines and decadent brunch treats. Events will take place on the last Sunday of each month in the hotel’s exclusive Apartment events space. Highlights include a rotating guest pour (think chilled reds, rosés, and sakes) and a generous buffet. The first event on 26 July will feature wines from Bellavista Winery alongside fresh ravioli, braided treccia of mozzarella, salads and tiramisu. Tickets are priced at £45 and include two drinks and food.
For three weeks only, Código 1530 Tequila will take over penthouse spaces at the Aethos Hotel in Shoreditch with an exclusive tequila bar, world-class music and top chef collaborations. Sunset Sessions take place on Fridays, while Mexican-inspired menus - comprising five dishes and paired cocktails - will be available on Saturdays. Ticket prices are from £10 for music and £50 for dining.
Islington cocktail bar, Homeboy, has launched an Irish chef series called Dúchas - an Irish word linked to heritage, native place, and a sense of belonging to land. Spread across four weeks, the pop-up will see four Irish chefs whip up an array of small plates alongside a set menu at £50pp or £65pp with cocktail pairing. This series will feature alongside Homeboy’s new cocktail menu which includes nods to Ireland.
Marylebone hotspot, Clio, has unveiled a new outdoor terrace for al fresco Greek dining. Ideal for relaxed lunches and sunset cocktails alike, Clio boasts an impressive menu curated by Head Chef Louis Korovilas, with charcoal-grilled seafood, slow-cooked meats, and vibrant vegetables reigning supreme. On the aesthetic front, leafy planting adds a hint of Mediterranean charm.
Basque cheesecake brand, La Maritxu, has unveiled a new range of summer cloud drinks to take the edge off the heat waves. Take your pick from the Cheesecake Latte, the Cheesecake Matcha, the Tiramisu Cloud, and the refreshing Coconut & Raspberry Matcha Cloud. To top it off, the dessert destination will also be serving up limited-edition strawberry cheesecake from 29 June to 12 July in celebration of Wimbledon.
On 19 July, Aethos London will host The East London Social - a special brunch that brings together The Pickle House and East London Liquor Company for an afternoon of comfort food and Bloody Marys, all brought together with a buzzing DJ set. Menu highlights include Jersey oysters with The Pickle House mignonette, devilled eggs with sourdough crumb, and tomato sorbet with strawberries, basil, and olive oil. Tickets are priced at £45 per person.
Perched above the Globe Tavern in Borough Market, new restaurant Kismet promises to bring a slice of Istanbul and Northern Cyprus to the heart of London during its year-long residency. The brainchild of Dom Hamdy and chef Keiran Mustafa, diners can expect to feast on meze and mangral-grilled kebabs alongside a drinks list teeming with raki and wines from across Türkiye.
Hotspot Honest Greens has unveiled their new summer menu at their first London site, Hg Soho. Here, seasonal produce reigns supreme, with each dish chef-made from scratch on a daily basis. On the menu this summer are an array of Mediterranean-inspired dishes such as Stracciatella Bowl, Summer Tomatoes and White Gazpacho, Sweet Potato Cakes with Labneh, and Honest Ceviche created using watermelon and melon alongside vegetables.
Japanese restaurant, Junsei, is set to launch a new weekend brunch menu on 11 July. Notable dishes on the menu include Binchō-tan fired yakitori, alongside bento boxes, smoked chicken curry karepan, and hojicha ice cream. To elevate the experience, guests can enjoy 90 minutes of free-flowing sake (£55pp).
Beauty brand Fara Homidi’s latest launch is totally genius. A hybrid product, this new ‘blonzer’ fuses the warmth of a bronzer with the soft flush of blush for a warm, rosy-tinted glow. The powder-to-cream formula promises to meld seamlessly with other products, while the three shades (Nue, Baie, and Velle), range from beige-pinks to rich-crimson berry hues.

London’s only croqueta-led bar concept, Bar Kroketa, has just launched its summer menus across its three sites in the capital. Guests can expect to feast on counter snacks such as padrón peppers in PX vinegar, gildas, tortillas, anchovies, boquerones, Guinness chorizo lollipops and pan con tomate. For something more substantial, dine on a smorgasbord of ‘kroketas’ with fillings ranging from classic smoky jamón to king prawn, black squid ink and piquillo pepper with Manchego.
From July through to September, Ham Yard’s Roof Terrace will open up for the return of 'Rosé on the Roof' in addition to a special Wellness Series. In partnership with Equinox and lululemon, the hotel will host weekend yoga and Pilates classes led by experts. Following each session, guests can indulge in a nutritious brunch before leaving with a curated gift bag filled with wellness goodies. Classes will take place every Saturday and Sunday from 25 July until 6 September. Tickets cost £55 per person.
Contemporary British restaurant, Aqua Shard, has released a new menu in celebration of the summer season. With a strong focus on seasonal produce, the menu, which is updated monthly, includes the likes of poached Portland crab, roasted wild halibut with white asparagus, and wild Cornish sea bass with violet artichoke. Come for the sweeping skyline views and stay for the exceptional dishes.
Tucked away in Mayfair, Michelin Guide-recommended French seafood restaurant Mazarine is a rare gem. To mark Bastille Day this year, the restaurant is offering a limited-edition Bastille Day menu curated by Executive Chef, Thierry Laborde. Running from 13 to 19 July, dishes include yellowtail with Occitanie cherries and decadent strawberry millefeuille. On the drinks front, indulge in four French 75 Champagne cocktails.
Thesleff Group have added to their impressive line-up with Sale e Pepe Terrazza at The Langham, London. Bringing a slice of la dolce vita to the Big Smoke, this elegant alfresco restaurant opens on 18 July and will be operating for the remainder of the summer season. Expect to feast on Italian classics including pizzas, cicchetti, seasonal salads and soft-serve ice cream.
Contemporary Indian restaurant and bar, Bulbul, will throw open its doors on 18 July. A new venture from Chef Rohan D’Souza and award-winning restaurateur Twinkle Keswani, this central London spot will be serving up small plates - think forest pepper crab dosa and Goan shrimp balchão - alongside vibrant cocktails.
