From the bustle of London, to the secluded countryside of Hampshire, and the vast coastline of North Devon there are plenty of beautiful destinations just a train, or car ride away this autumn.

Heckfield Place

I have been on a mission to explore the UK’s stately homes and Heckfield Place has climbed its way to the top of my list. A Georgian home lovingly restored into a lavish eco-friendly hotel, it is secluded in 400 acres of Hampshire landscape. If you are seeking a sense of freedom and desire a slower pace of life, Heckfield place is catered for you. Activities and experiences range from forest bathing and wild swimming to foraged cocktail making. Home to two award-winning restaurants directed by renowned chef Skye Gygnell, Heckfield Place has truly grasped the concept of farm-to-fork with the very best locally-sourced and responsibly-grown food.

Andaz London

In the heart of the bustling streets of Liverpool Street sits luxurious lifestyle hotel, Andaz London. General Manager of Andaz London, Mario Flanagan explains, "Our team is committed to ensuring that all guests, regardless of age, have a luxuriously enjoyable stay. The family rooms include Andaz teddy bears, a chalkboard easel and colouring kits to let little imaginations run free. A complimentary healthy mini-bar with snacks and soft drinks is also available for children.

Montagu Arms

Escape to Montagu Arms, Hampshire. This boutique hotel exudes quintessential British elegance, with opulence and comfort at the forefront. Escape to one of the hotel’s nine newly-designed court rooms, reconnect with nature in theGertrude Jekyll-inspired gardens, listen to the pond fountain designed by Giuseppe Lund, play a game of croquet on the upper terrace, or take a look at the kitchen garden. The whole family is invited to enjoy all the incredible experiences the hotel has to offer, from fine dining to canoeing, unforgettable memories will undoubtedly be made at Montagu Arms. This refined establishment is for the family who seeks the finer things in life.

Saunton Sands Hotel

Step foot in Saunton Sands Hotel and you will be wondering whether you're in the Caribbean or the UK. The hotel recently launched its world-class spa, allowing visitors to reconnect with themselves and nature through yoga on the lawn overlooking the sea, breath work classes, cold water outdoor swimming, a slick indoor pool, and surfing. Guests can also enjoy a roster of spa treatments, fitness classes and stellar sports facilities. Perfectly positioned overlooking Saunton Beach, this is one of the UK’s top surf beaches, recently becoming one of just 12 World Surfing Reserves. The hotel is very family-friendly and features a fabulous range of activities to keep kids happy and active.

The Level at Meliá White House

The staff at The Level made us feel 100% at home, from the minute we stepped foot inside, making my daughter feel as though she had entered her princess castle — and boy did she make the place her own for the night. Residing in an iconic 1930s Grade II-listed building, The Level is a destination in itself, with free-flowing, complimentary wine, beer and cava, alongside delicious light bites and Spanish tapas served every evening, showcasing local and seasonal produce. Meliá White House recently revealed an extensive £40 million transformation; uncovering a new soul for the superior deluxe hotel. The hotel has been reimagined as a true destination hotel upscaling its bedrooms and suites, restaurant and hotel spaces including The Level service & lounge.

Culloden Estate & Spa

If you live in the UK but want to feel like you're a long way from home, cocooned in luxury and character, Culloden Estate and Spa is the hotel after your heart. Standing on the forested slopes of the Holywood hills, overlooking Belfast Lough and the glorious County Antrim coastline, Culloden Estate is steeped in history boasting breathtaking views. Known as Northern Ireland’s premier sanctuary for complete body and mind wellbeing, Culloden Estate and spa, is also celebrity-approved by the likes of Tom Jones to David Beckham.

Crowne Plaza Docklands

Whilst part of a ubiquitous chain, there was something about this particular Crowne Plaza that felt so different to the others. The location really sets it apart from the rest, there was a beautiful sense of escapism during my stay here. The big floor to ceiling windows located next to a nook with a cozy lounge chair allowed me to watch the city go by while feeling like I was in a bubble of relaxation. This place is perfect for individual solo trips but even more perfect for families. Families can enjoy the modern leisure club complete with a swimming pool: the perfect place to wind down after a day of adventures in the city. The leisure club features a state-of-the-art gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Did I mention the delicious food served at the 24 hour bar and grill? I would recommend the Teriyaki Salmon.

Woolsery

The Collective at Woolsery has opened its new accommodation giving visitors to the secluded countryside of North Devon the choice of seven utterly stunning rooms to stay that are luxurious, opulent and beautifully designed. Everything is carefully curated paying homage to the village’s farming history. Woolsery is the ancestral home of Michael Birch, co-founder of the social networking site Bebo with his wife Xochi. His great, great grandparents built the village shop, his grandmother was born above it, and his family still live in the village today.Without a doubt, a stay at The Collective at Woolsery is beyond comparison. Exceptional and unparalleled, this place redefines the concept of a luxury break, where every tiny detail is embellished with love.
