Women Who Launch: Lucia Penrod of Nikki Beach

Luxury hospitality group Nikki Beach is best known for its toes-in-the-sand beach clubs peppered with palm trees and filled with creamy interiors. Their popularity is such that supermodel Naomi Campbell hosted her 33rd birthday at Nikki Beach St. Tropez, while in 2008, singers Beyoncé, Jay Z and Mariah Carey celebrated New Year’s Eve at Nikki Beach Saint Barth. Founded by Lucia Penrod and her late husband Jack Penrod in memory of his daughter Nikki, the brand has grown exponentially over the years, giving rise to a plethora of global beach clubs and resorts, each built on the shared philosophy of ‘Celebrating Life’. Penrod has since taken the brand one step further with the addition of branded residences in the likes of Dubai, RAK, Baku, and Muscat. Amongst their new projects is The Residences at Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Antigua - the island’s first-ever luxury-branded residences perched on Antigua’s longest stretch of sand, Jolly Beach. It features 134 private branded residences, including seven beachfront villas, dining and wellness offerings, concierge services, and a private gym. The official opening is anticipated in 2030.
