Witness the intense drama and unexpected triumphs of the NCAA tournament, collegiate basketball's defining event.

NCAA March Madness is the annual NCAA Division I men’s and women’s basketball tournaments, bringing together a selected field of competitive collegiate teams for weeks of single-elimination play as the bracket advances through each round to the final four weekend.

About This National Championship Experience

The March Madness tournament is celebrated for its historic upsets, classic moments, Cinderella stories in which lower-seeded teams defeat higher-seeded teams, last-second drama, and the pure passion of its players and fans alike. Selection Sunday is the time when the selection committee reveals the tournament field and the bracket is officially released. Games are played in 14 different cities across the U.S.. The field includes automatic qualifiers and at-large bids, with 32 conference tournament winners earning places and 36 selections issued by the NCAA. The Selection Committee then seeds the full field from 1 to 68, though the tournament format expands to 76 teams starting in 2027.

The First Four features eight teams playing for advancement, and those games are hosted in Dayton. Bracket challenges are also a popular tradition for fans who watch every twist of March Madness, and historic upsets include UMBC becoming the first time a 16-seed won a game in 2018. The first NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament was held in 1939, and that same year the phrase March Madness was coined in a high-school basketball context, a history later deepened when Texas Western made history in 1966 with an all-black starting five. Christian Laettner delivered a historic elite eight performance in 1992. Jalen Suggs hit a memorable game winner in the 2021 Final Four, and Kris Jenkins did the same in the 2016 championship.

This sporting journey is ideal for those looking to build a high-profile basketball holiday, blending the excitement of the court with private metropolitan club access, premium accommodations, and city tours.
