About This Experience
The Qatar Grand Prix is an official round of the FIA Formula One World Championship, hosted at the Lusail International Circuit outside Doha, which first hosted an F1 Grand Prix in 2021. First staged on a long-term contract following its introductory race, the venue features a highly technical 5.419-km layout defined by 16 flowing corners and a main straightaway exceeding one kilometre. The circuit’s design demands high aerodynamic down-force, with a mix of medium and high-speed corners, including fast direction changes through more than one turn, and a main straight over 1 km that puts substantial lateral loads on tires.
For 2026, the new cars will be smaller and lighter, with movable front and rear wings and a new V6 setup using a 50/50 power split between internal combustion and electric power to support closer racing. Run completely under a comprehensive artificial floodlight array, the night race delivers a distinct visual backdrop for international open-wheel motor-sport.
