A Chateau that combines great location, picturesque landscape, chic luxurious rooms, a very responsive staff with in-house chef, total privacy and comfort is Chateau Bouffemont located just a mere 20 minutes from Paris’ Charles de Gaulle airport and only 30 kilometres from the centre of Paris.

The Sybarite has had the pleasure of visiting this stately residence and we are giving it the grand OK for those looking to host a private function or wedding in France that offers convenience, beauty and exclusivity. Chateau Bouffemont is the ideal place for a “homely” wedding ceremony where guests are able to mingle and hold intimate conversations in an atmosphere that provides the 5- star touch yet shows no signs of unpretentiousness.

The Chateau has undergone a complete refurbishment after being bought from its new proprietor in 2012 – the theme is chic and elegant. Imagine, Tiffany coloured walls, wooden floors; gorgeous verandah overlooking the landscaped gardens, a magnificent staircase, private elevator and ten magical suites. We feel that the interior design of the Chateau combines both a masculine and feminine touch, as if its proprietors were a couple – you can certainly feel the male-touch in one of its five reception halls decked out with leather arm chairs and a fireplace, whereas the main hall hangs a large ornate chandelier with walls coloured in a sort of Tiffany turquoise green. It is by all means, a setting that is great for photo taking.

“This noble, stone-built residence spread over 4 floors offers 2000 square meters of living space. Crystal chandeliers, authentic wood panelling and fine fabrics accompany the latest technology. The refined interior décor is the work of Italian architects, Augusto Busnelli and Marco Allievi, who designed and created made-to-measure furnishings for the Château.”

In terms of layout, it begins with the Salon des Anges “with its elegant wooden bar and high ceilings, is the ideal setting to receive your guests”. Beside Salon des Anges is the Dandy Lounge where one is brought back to the twenties and thirties with its Chesterfield sofas, wooden furniture and other avant-garde objects. Leading towards the ground

level, you have the Grand Salon, the Salon du Baron, the Salon de la Marquise, the Reception Hall and private kitchen. It all sounds rather grand but the layout is straightforward and guests will find each space suitable for their receptions.

With its ten luxury suites and rooms, Chateau Bouffemont can sleep up to twenty-seven guests “to offer optimal comfort, all rooms feature the latest equipment: flat-screen television, radio, telephone, Internet and Wi-Fi.”  The first floor is accessible by staircase whilst the second floor can only be accessed by private elevator – one would think that for such a Chateau, an elevator needn't be necessary but due to the construction of the Chateau it is apparently, the only way to access the second floor. Then, there is a heliport should you wish to land by helicopter as well as other facilities such as a home theatre, private parking and household appliances.

Besides functions, Chateau Bouffemont wants its guests to feel at home and this is detailed in its concierge services. With a host of wonderful outdoor activities, whether it is golfing, horse riding, water sports, to more relaxing activities such as spa, shopping, etc. Chateau Bouffemont will accommodate. After all they are there to provide guests with whatever they seek, from the most unusual to the simplest of requests.

Should you wish for a custom-made experience at Chateau Bouffemont for you and your guests feel free to get in touch.
