The Grammy Awards 2016
The 58th annual music extravaganza, The Grammy’s stayed true to form this year and was host to hip-hop hysteria, explosive rock and an almighty tribute to the one and only Ziggy Stardust. Here’s a low-down on our ‘best’ and ‘worst’ moments of the evening.
Best: Taylor Swift putting Yeezy back in his placeCountry singer turned pop princess Taylor Swift had something to say when she picked up her award for Best Album, and it was very obviously directed at one man in particular, Mr Kayne West. In response to a rather arrogant lyric claiming he made Taylor ‘famous’, Taylor chose the moment of receiving her Grammy to correct any of those who were ill-informed by her fellow musician. Hell hath no fury and all that…
Worst: Sir Paul McCartney“How VIP do we gotta get?” was the exact response from music legend and Beatles superstar Sir Paul McCartney. It appeared that at an after-party hosted by rapper Tyga, Sir Paul and his party were unduly turned away from the door, as the bouncers weren’t sure as to who they were. The American rapper seemed unfazed by the occurrence, claiming that it is was in fact all a ‘mix-up’ from the Beatles’ lead singer. One thing is for sure, if Sir Paul can’t gain access to a high-profile Grammy afterparty, if there any hope for the rest of us?
