Golden Hour
Calling all aspiring photographers! This month, The Chimney Lift at Battersea Power Station is continuing its Lift Lates series with a Golden Hour photography session. Guided by renowned rooftop photographer, James Burns, guests will learn how to use their camera to capture London’s skyline at sunset. Tickets (£45pp) include The Chimney Lift experience and a 105-minute photography workshop.
MERIT has extended its immensely popular tinted mineral sunscreen range with five new hues, bringing the total range to 20 shades. Cherry blossom season is here, and what better way to celebrate than with a seasonal afternoon tea dedicated to the frothy pink blooms. Served Monday to Friday at Engel and Jang, and exclusively at Jang on Saturdays from 12:00pm to 5:30pm, guests can feast on sweet and savoury treats including elegant finger sandwiches, cherry blossom chocolate cake, and loose-leaf teas.
Lovers of Honey & Co. will be thrilled to hear that the restaurant group is poised to open a new wine bar, deli, and dining room on Great Portland Street. Sarit Packer and Itamar Srulovich have created a unique space where guests can pop in for a quick bite to eat or stay a while longer and feast on larger plates including Greek-style lamb chops and salt-baked whole fish.
The Zetter Group’s Bloomsbury outpost has launched its signature Afternoon Tea at The Orangery. Curated by Executive Chef, Debjit Dass, the menu is teeming with elegant bites such as freshly baked scones, classic finger sandwiches, and moreish pastries including the chocolate délice with salted caramel. £75 per person with unlimited top-ups of scones and tea. For a more elevated experience, there’s a Champagne upgrade option.
Olfactory powerhouse, Le Monde Gourmand, has expanded their line-up with an addictive new scent dubbed Rose Chocolat. The fragrance, which is set to launch into Sephora UK on 13 April, fuses cocoa blossom with floral and woody accords for a well-rounded concoction that’s sweet and cocooning without being overly saccharine. At 30ml, this one is also ideal for spritzing on the go. £24 for 30ml.
Looking to brush up on your coffee-making skills? Workshop is offering a slew of expert-led masterclasses at its Belgravia training academy, with sessions exploring filter brewing methods, coffee’s journey from seed to cup, and how to perfect that silky milk pour. The Filter Brewing Masterclass runs every other Sunday 10am-1pm, while the Sage Espresso Home Masterclass is every other Thursday, 5pm-8pm. Feature Cuppings, meanwhile, run roughly every two months, with the next one taking place on 25 April.
This April, fitness and wellbeing destination The Method will expand its offering with The Club. Located in Notting Hill, the holistic health and wellness destination will feature three purpose-built studios for dance, strength, Pilates, and reformer training, alongside a recovery space with treatment rooms and a contrast therapy spa with a Swedish sauna and three ice baths. Beyond this, The Club will also have personal recovery therapies and a private members’ lounge complete with an outdoor garden terrace and a cafe.
Bestselling cookbook author, Donna Hay, will host an evening of conversation and food at The Soho Hotel on 27 April to celebrate the launch of her new book, Sunshine, Lemons and Sea Salt. During the event, guests will hear more about the inspiration behind Donna’s book, followed by a Q&A session and book signing. To round off the evening, a sharing dinner will be held at British-European restaurant Refuel. Tickets cost £60pp and include a welcome drink and dinner, or £75pp with a copy of the book.
Highbury’s Giacco’s Wine Bar has welcomed chef Louis-Arnaud Jose into their kitchen for a takeover from 10 - 17 March. Diners can expect rustic French classics with Basque and Italian flourishes, such as roasted celeriac tarama, black mullet sashimi, sea bass crudo, and shitake and seaweed vol au vent. For something sweet, a black cardamom and anise star crumble tart served with caramel ice cream promises to delight the palate.
Notting Hill will welcome an all-day contemporary Lebanese concept, KINZ, on 27 April. Housed in the former Lloyds Bank, the new dining spot will offer an array of dishes including the Full Lebanese breakfast, mezze, and larger dishes such as spiced lamb and rice wrapped in vine leaves and fattet aubergine with pine nuts and crisp pita. The original bank’s vault, meanwhile, will be transformed into an elegant wine room.
Bella Hadid has done it again. Following the success of her fragrance brand launch in 2024, Orebella has now launched three body & hair mists with the same bi-phase shake-to-activate formula. Take your pick from Gardenia’s Whisper, Nectar Dew, or Golden Brulee which boasts notes of warm spices, plum, tobacco leaves, tonka bean, vanilla bean, and cedarwood. £32 for 123ml
The Sloane Club has opened its first public-facing venue in its 104-year history, Café 1922, on Lower Sloane Street. Designed by Russell Sage Studio, it will be an all-day neighbourhood café and bakery serving coffee, pastries, breakfasts, and light lunches under Executive Chef George Scott-Toft and Head Baker Luke Walsh-Landles. In the evening, it transforms into a wine bar offering seasonal low-intervention wines, plus tastings and supper clubs.
Reservations are now open for MIKO Mei Fair, a new 50-cover Thai restaurant from Samyukta Nair. Led by Head Chef Soonthorn Apaipat, it offers a fire-led menu blending Thai classics with signature dishes including Apple Wood Fire Peking Duck Penang Curry. The restaurant, inspired by MiMi Mei Fair and KOYN Thai, features an intimate, salon-style interior complete with leather banquette seating, teal panelling, and gold-leaf lotus motifs.
Old St. Records in Shoreditch is hosting an all-day, all-night vinyl DJ party for Record Store Day on 18 April, running until 2am. The event features DJs playing strictly vinyl across disco, funk, hip hop, R&B, and classic dance, alongside 2-for-1 cocktails and a free drink for customers with a same-day record store receipt. It celebrates independent record shops and vinyl culture across the UK and Ireland. Ramp up the evening with signature pizzas including the spicy Diavola Nduja and the Parmiagiana.
34 Mayfair has launched an exclusive live jazz residency in partnership with Ronnie Scott’s, running every Friday from 17 April to 8 May 2026. The series will feature rotating world-class jazz artists, with performances at 7.30pm, 8.30pm, and 9.30pm, bringing Soho-style jazz to the heart of Mayfair. Guests can also enjoy a curated Johnnie Walker cocktail menu, including the Ruby Sour and the Spiced Ginger Highball.
Idalia has officially opened at Olympia’s Pillar Hall, becoming the first restaurant to launch within the landmark £1.3bn regeneration project. Created by restaurateur Des Gunewardena of D3 Collective, it is a glamorous restaurant and bar set within the Grade II* listed space. The venue showcases a modern British menu led by an all-female kitchen team, alongside a distinctive, elevated cocktail programme.
A sizzling new pizza and wine bar has just opened its doors in Eccleston Yards - a stone’s throw from Victoria station. Founded by Abbie Roden and Will Sandbach, Weezie’s looks to be the ultimate all-day dining spot for thin-crust pizzas, moreish sharing plates and an exclusive Weezie’s orange wine. Expect to feast on the likes of loaded crisps, sobrasada pizza, and chocolate mousse topped with cold-pressed olive oil and sea salt flakes.
To tie in with cherry blossom season, SUSHISAMBA Covent Garden has launched a Sakura-inspired terrace in partnership with Moët Hennessy. There's a limited-edition sakura-inspired cocktail menu - featuring the Blossom Royale and the Haru Breeze - in addition to their usual line-up of drinks and SUSHISAMBA faves such as the rock shrimp tempura and the wagyu gyoza. Open daily from 12-11pm.
