About This Experience
Outside Lands Music Festival is an annual three-day outdoor event scheduled for August 7–9, 2026, held across a scenic Golden Gate Park site in San Francisco, utilising the park’s historic polo fields and surrounding meadows, with walking areas for attendees. Established in 2008, the festival was created and launched as a music event and has expanded into a multi-generational arts festival distinguished by its integration of independent programming with Northern California's culinary, wine-making, and craft brewing industries, as well as its Bay Area art appeal.
The grounds host dedicated experiential areas such as Wine Lands, Beer Lands, and GastroMagic, and the festival features Taste of the Bay Area with local specialities from over 100 local restaurants, more than 700 menu items from 96 restaurants, and speciality spaces beyond the main stages; Wine Lands debuted with 30 regional vineyards in 2011, lands stands and other themed zones add to the experience, and SOMA serves as a distinct area dedicated to underground house, techno, and club beats alongside live musical performances that span rock, pop, hip-hop, and electronic genres amidst the park's coastal redwood groves and characteristic summer fog.
Inside the festival, attendees can refill water bottles at four free water refill stations, and the event will feature eco-friendly practices that support sustainability.
