About This Experience
Austin City Limits (ACL) Music Festival is an annual multi-genre music event that takes place every October across two consecutive three-day weekends in Zilker Park, Austin, Texas. Founded in 2002 and produced by C3 Presents, the festival was directly inspired by the historic PBS television music series of the same name. The event hosts over one hundred performing artists across nine distinct stages, offering a diverse array of rock, indie, country, hip-hop, and electronic programming.
A foundational element of the festival footprint is the ACL Eats Food Court, which eliminates standard carnival concessions in favour of local Austin culinary operators presenting regional barbecue, Tex-Mex, and artisanal culinary preparations, with attendee perks that include hydration stations, accessible restroom options, and Austin Kiddie Limits as a dedicated area for children. The Art Market is another place on-site where visitors can shop handcrafted goods, underscoring the festival’s wider connection to arts and culture. Food and drink highlights include gourmet tacos, artisanal ice cream, the Barton Springs Beer Hall, and Wine Grove.
