About This Experience
The Presidents Cup is a biennial men's team golf tournament pitting a selected squad from the United States against an International Team representing the rest of the world, excluding Europe. Created by the PGA Tour in 1994, the event utilises a specialised match-play format consisting of Foursomes, Four-ball, and Singles matches across four days of competitive play, with both teams made up of 12 players and typically split between six automatic qualifiers and six captain's picks. The 2026 edition is the next Presidents Cup, staged at Medinah Country Club from September 22-27, when Team USA, captained by Brandt Snedeker, will face the International Team led by Geoff Ogilvy.
Historically, the Americans have won 13 of the 15 editions played, the International side's only victory came in 1998, and the lone tie was a 17-17 result in 2003. The 2024 event was held at Royal Montreal Golf Club in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, continuing the tournament’s rotation through leading international venues. Unlike many team events, there is no official prize money pool, with proceeds directed toward charity. The 2026 matches are hosted on Medinah Country Club's Course No. 3 in Illinois, near Chicago, a layout renowned for its demanding par-fives, deep fairway bunkering, and water hazards that test team chemistry, ball-striking precision, and match-play nerve in the 2026 year under international pressure.
