Hauntingly Good Halloween Events in London in 2025

As ever, The Big Smoke is poised for the spooky season. Keep scrolling to discover The Sybarite’s round-up of the best things to see and do in London over the Halloween weekend.

Iced coffees have been replaced with hot chocolates. Hats and scarves are slowly making their way out of retirement, and there’s a cool crispness lingering in the air. Autumn is well and truly in full swing, and Halloween is lurking just around the corner. Cue the glowing pumpkins, the fiendish costumes and the haunting home transformations.

When is Halloween this year? 

Halloween in the UK this year falls on Friday 31 October 2025. While many celebrations will kick off on Friday, London is expected to host events across the entire weekend and up until early November to coincide with The Day of the Dead.

Mezcal Merriment  

Mexican and Japanese restaurant, Los Mochis, is fully embracing El Día de los Muertos. To mark Mexico’s most iconic cultural tradition, the hotspot will be putting together a weekend of music, mezcal and more. Picture DJ sets from Jordi Ruz and resident Kaveh, mesmerising theatrical performances, signature bottle service and Mezcal aplenty. At Los Mochis Notting Hill, enjoy a special Día de los Muertos dinner complete with a live mariachi band, eye-catching decorations and an exclusive menu curated by Executive Head Chef, Leonard Tanyag.

Haunted Hotspot 

This Halloween, Upstairs at Langan’s will transform into a gothic dreamscape complete with nods to Victorian circus noir. Guests can expect fire breathers, contortionists, stilt-walkers, dancers, on-site makeup artists and a devilishly good DJ. In partnership with Casamigos and Cîroc, head to the bar for limited-edition cocktails including the candy-floss slushy.

Clowning Around 

Peruvian restaurant, COYA Mayfair, will host an immersive celebration of dark elegance, illusion and indulgence on 31 October. Discover a transformed space akin to an abandoned circus, teeming with theatrical performances and beats courtesy of COYA’s resident DJ. Also on the agenda are curated cocktails, decadent desserts and a bottomless bar from 11 pm to 3 am (£135pp).

Tinseltown Terror

Mediterranean restaurant, Bagatelle, is exploring the Golden Age of Hollywood through a ghostly lens. Next week, the Mayfair spot will present 'Hollywood Haunts' - an immersive experience giving centre stage to the darker side of Tinseltown. Guests are invited to walk the ‘killer red carpet’, pose with ghostly starlets, and savour crimson cocktails. The decor, meanwhile, promises plenty of photo opportunities, with silver moons, statement mirrors and fountains reigning supreme.

Spooky Stroll 

Halloween at Kew is making a return this year following its successful debut in 2024. The illuminated trail, which runs until 2 November, promises to be a hair-raising hit for the entire family. Keep your eyes peeled for the forgotten fairground, lurking monsters, haunted woods, giant spiders, ghouls and wicked witches.

Fiendish Forest 

Marylebone-based private members’ club, Home House, is hosting its annual Halloween bash on 31 October. Step into the club’s three Georgian townhouses and delve into the ‘Lost Forest’ where a deserted circus and cursed performers await. Continue the festivities into the early hours with a late-night disco in partnership with Belvedere. £110 for members or £130 for guests.

Frightful Films 

Looking for something a little less spooky and a tad more kooky? Rooftop Film Club in Peckham is showing a plethora of Halloween classics to delight even the most discerning of film buffs. Nab a bag of popcorn and immerse yourself into a fantastical dreamworld. Highlights include the likes of Hocus Pocus, Beetlejuice and The Silence of the Lambs. Tickets from £17.

Terrific Teatime Treat 

Five-star hotel Vintry and Mercer has put a spooky spin on the traditional afternoon tea. Just in time for Halloween, guests can feast on a spread of delectable treats laced with mystical elements and nods to the wizarding world. Prepare to feast on pastries such as the Excalibur - a white chocolate and mango cheesecake served with dry ice - and a Box of Bones creation which arrives with a miniature shovel for guests to dig for a spook-tacular surprise.

Supernatural Sanctuary 

Head to Belgravia bar, LUUM, on 31 October for an elegant evening out infused with mysticism and magic. In partnership with 1800 Tequila, the bar area will transform into a nocturnal haven, offering an array of cocktail concoctions and immersive soundscapes. Later on, expect hair-raising beats from DJ Lou Hayter and Yvonne Simon. Midnight revelers will be rewarded with late-night bites.
