From stellar new restaurant launches and pop-ups to upcoming sartorial drops, here are 13 things on the Sybarite’s radar this October.

Ask anyone who lives in London, and they’ll surely tell you there is no shortage of exciting openings, launches and events taking place each month — the trouble is usually hearing about them. On Target 

Clays unveiled their largest and most ambitious site to date right at the end of September. Nestled in the heart of Soho, the brand’s fourth venue is set across three floors and covers a whopping 20,000 ft2. Guests can expect an array of virtual clay shooting games, a sublime cocktail menu, and a plethora of crowd-pleasing dishes, including calamari with squid ink mayonnaise, crispy chicken sliders served with zesty apple and cabbage slaw, and an array of pizzettes.

All That Glitters 

Merit has done it again. The beloved beauty brand has reimagined its bestselling eyeshadow, Solo Shadow, with a fresh twist. Enter, Solo Shadow Sheen. Available in six shimmering shades, Merit’s new shadows are creamy and buildable with a pearlescent shine to boot. Wear alone, or pair with other hues for an ethereal, layered look.

Chef’s Kiss 

Nathaniel Mortley is gearing up for the launch of his restaurant, 2210 by NattyCanCook. Set to open its doors on 22 October in Herne Hill, this new opening seamlessly fuses fine dining with bold Caribbean flavours. The menu will feature Bajan, Jamaican, and Guyanese ingredients and influences with classic French techniques. Expect refined plates including salt baked celeriac, pan-seared pimento duck and whole grilled brill.

Stellar Sips 

Mexican-Japanese restaurant Los Mochis has introduced a Toko Sake Experience in honour of World Sake Day. For £70pp, guests can enjoy a premium sake flight featuring the ultra-rare Toko Fukuro-Tsuri Ultralux Junmai Daiginjo paired with signature dishes. For something different, opt for their new Melon Crush cocktail - a concoction of Kay Sake, Patrón El Alto, lemon, green melon, agave and mint.

Eye on the Prize 

Rhode has expanded its beauty offering with new hydrogel eye patches designed to depuff and brighten the under-eye area. Dubbed Peptide Eye Prep, these nifty patches are infused with caffeine, peptide, and sodium pca. Incorporate into your pre-makeup routine or save for an indulgent evening pamper session.

Chic Frites

Provençal restaurant, Amélie, has introduced a new experience to its offering: Fizz & Frites. Switching up the concept of happy hour, the Belgravia hotspot is now serving up unlimited fries on shimmering vintage platters alongside indulgent sauces including truffle mayo and caviar. For the ultimate treat, order a bottle of Champagne. The experience runs from Monday to Saturday, between 4-7 pm.

Glow-getter 

British wellness brand Mauli Rituals have launched a new Rose & Saffron Radiance Mask jam-packed with organic Ayurvedic botanicals including turmeric root, Kashmiri saffron and Mysore sandalwood. Combined with rose and mineral-rich clay, this mask and exfoliant detoxifies, brightens and smoothes the complexion.

Eerie-sistible 

The Walkie-Talkie’s Sky Garden is celebrating Halloween this year with a special night of live music and themed cocktails. Don your spookiest outfit and dance the night away to dazzling DJ sets. Entry tickets start from £27.50 and include a cocktail. VIP tables for up to six people are also available, complete with two bottles of Moët & Chandon, two sharing platters, and dedicated waiter service until midnight.

Buon Appetito  

Luke Ahearne (previously of Lita and Luca) has joined forces with Stevie Parle (chef-owner of Town and Pastaio) to open modern London-Italian restaurant, Motorino. Anchored in the heart of buzzy Fitzrovia, this exciting new venture balances quality and innovation with a generous helping of fun. Its bar will be overseen by Kevin Armstrong, serving up seasonal chargers on tap as well as an array of icy cold martinis.

Spooky Sustenance

To coincide with Halloween, Xi Home Dumplings Bay in Spitalfields is launching five hand-made spooky buns. Choose from an adorable pumpkin, a ghoulish ghost, an eerie eye and a magnificent mummy, each stuffed with sweet matcha or custard. These buns will be available to enjoy in store from 25 October until 2 November. Two-piece gift sets are also available to pre-order online and collect.

Sunny Spells 

While autumn has only just arrived on the scene, we’re already lusting after a slice of spring sunshine. Fashion brand, House of Sunny, set the tone as they unveiled segments from their SS26 collection dubbed ‘Abundance of Life’. Prepare for a flurry of hydrangeas, playful ocean motifs and delicate wildflower embroidery.

Such a Catch! 

On 15th October, Langan’s Brasserie is hosting a spectacular seafood dinner party in partnership with online fishmongers, Wright Brothers. Guests can kick off the evening with martinis and oysters, before feasting on seafood platters and the freshest catches, paired with handpicked wines from Langan’s Head Sommelier, Yann Prigent. Wright Brothers founders, Ben Wright and Robin Hancock, are set to attend the evening and will start the dinner with an introductory speech. £170 per person.

Spectral Spectacle 

Sexy Fish is tapping into spooky season with a decadent evening in partnership with Don Julio 1942. Guests can expect to step into a mythical underwater world teeming with theatrical sea-born characters, mesmerising ‘molten-coral’ installations and otherworldly soundscapes. To top it all off, live performances including sets from global DJ Martin 2 Smoove will also feature.
