Since 1991, the Monaco Yacht Show has been committed to promoting creative excellence in the world of superyachting, granting few the privilege of visiting a spectacular exhibition of the world's most luxurious (and expensive) superyachts. Held in Port Hercules, Monaco Yacht Show is Europe's biggest in-water display of large yachts; a sumptuous display of wealth, craftsmanship & expertise. The Galaxy superyacht is the epitome of what the Monaco Yacht Show represents: stylish, luxurious and chic. After undergoing a severe transformation, Galaxy is no longer just another white Superyacht gracing the ocean along the french riviera. Described by Njord by Bergman as, "a destination, a marvel that touches all your body's senses and excites and embraces you with its energy each step you take onboard", this beautiful superyacht is certainly a sight for sore eyes.

April 22, 2021 (Accra, Ghana) – Accra-based ADA \ contemporary art gallery, specialized in the work of emerging artists across Africa and its diaspora, unveils its fourth consecutive debut solo exhibition since opening in October 2020 – Cross Hatching Affluence, an exhibition by emerging Ghanaian artist Hamid Nii Nortey (b. 1987). On view from May 6 – June 16, 2021 in person and online, the selection of 20 new figurative paintings acts as a mirror onto the Ghanaian capital’s fast-evolving urban and social landscape, thereby reappropriating a narrative long dominated by socioeconomic and political hardship.

Review of Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors Room at The Tate Modern

This year-long, focused exhibition showcases these much-loved works by one of the most celebrated artists working today. Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirror Rooms is a rare chance to experience two major installations alongside fascinating early documentation of Kusama’s experimental performances and events, as well as a brand-new sculptural work that continues the theme of endless replication. The exhibition features Infinity Mirrored Room - Filled with the Brilliance of Life, one of Kusama’s largest installations to date and originally created for her 2012 retrospective at Tate Modern. In this immersive work, mirrored walls and a shallow pool of water endlessly multiply a constellation of tiny, suspended lights tocreate a feeling of infinite space. This is shown alongside Chandelier of Grief another whole-room installation in which the viewer disappears into a seemingly boundless universe of rotating chandeliers.

MYBA Charter Show 2022 – the superyacht event of the year

It's been well over a decade since I was in Barcelona, and in recent years, I'd begun to hear vague whispers around London, a sort of polite secret the well-heeled and well-informed would occasionally share, that Barcelona was the 'new hottest' city in Europe. Greatness as a destination, is fragile, hard to achieve, and almost certainly anathema to widespread popularity; too many people, too exploited, and the character and charm evaporate under the tramp of the thronging masses. As you may well imagine then, I'm a little conflicted to write that yes, the rumours are true: Barcelona sits atop my estimation as one of the greatest cultural & luxury destinations in Europe.

Jane Lombard Gallery will be hosting Pattern Language, an exhibition of new paintings by Squeak Carnwath.  The artist’s third solo exhibition with the gallery, Pattern Language presents the viewer with intricate visual archives that entangle public observation and private introspection. The exhibition will be on view from April 29th to June 4th, with an opening reception April 29th from 5 - 7 PM. "Pattern recognition is an essential part of the human experience. We pull from memory to make sense of the world around us. Recognizable patterns allow us to understand common rhythms between people, places, and cultures, understanding the new through the familiar by assigning identity and meaning." As an artist, Carnwath paints her own thoughts and observations, often connected to politics and personal narratives, knowing others will create their own recognitions within her compositions.

So when I was invited to QT presents The Green Room, I got my favourite girlies together, and with our dancing shoes on we headed to Covent Garden.  QT presents The Green Room is a secret hideaway which can be found beneath the creamy façade of the elegant luxury hotel Middle Eight. Unless you are in the know, you wouldn’t know it was there - it took us a moment as we stood out in the rain wondering where this gorgeous bar was hiding. As we entered the hotel, we were greeted and taken downstairs to The QT bar. The space is exceptional, with cool modern décor including concrete pillars, a parquet wood floor, large contemporary circular ceiling lights and cabaret-style seating with marble-topped tables and velvet cocktail chairs.

2020 as we all know has been a rough ride and although 2021 seems like a continuation of all the chaos that's been going on, we're hopeful that there is light at the end of the tunnel. February 2, 2021 (Accra, Ghana) - ADA \ contemporary art gallery, specialized in the work of emerging artists across Africa and its diaspora, unveils Enter Paradise, an exhibition of new paintings by South African emerging female artist Zandile Tshabalala (b. 1999, Soweto). Marking the artist’s debut solo career, and the gallery’s third consecutive debut solo show since opening in October 2020, the new paintings include a selection of figurative self-portraits in which Tshabalala revisits the representation of the Black female figure. Presented at ADA’s Accra- based gallery space and online, the exhibition will be on view from February 25 to April 18, 2021.  Currently completing her (BA) FINA from the University of the Witwatersrand, SA, Tshabalala creates a distinct visual narrative and artistic expression by challenging and deconstructing art historical canons of representation – recurrent motives which often marginalize and obliterate the Black female figure.
