Chop Chop At The Hippodrome: Londons Best Chinese...
14th May 2024
The Hippodrome, located in London's Leicester Square, may not be the Las Vegas strip, but it's certainly adopting a similar principle of a diverse culinary landscape. The vibrant gaming floor welcomes a mixed crowd, but lurking in the basement is Chop Chop, offering a welcomed alternative to heading outside to Chinatown for a quick bite. Sceptics may question the harmony of a high-end Chinese eatery within the bustling casino scene, but Chop Chop effortlessly defies expectations. Venture down the historic venue's depths, and you'll be greeted by a sophisticated blend of moodily lit tables and neon-gilded booths, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.

Simeone has endeavoured to encapsulate the eclectic New York foodie scene in this menu, reimagining famous dishes with signature Six By Nico flair. Casual street food favourites have been refined for the fine dining experience. I stopped by the Canary Wharf restaurant for a culinary trip to the Big Apple.
Brasserie des Prés: The Culinary Jewel Of Paris’ Latin...
16th April 2024
When we arrived for our dinner reservation at Brasserie des Prés, we found a lengthy queue had already formed outside. It was 7pm and the restaurant was gearing up for its dinner service. Inside, waitstaff could be seen bustling about in preparation, moving through their respective tasks like a well-oiled machine. Located in a bustling laneway in the fairtytale-esque Cour du Commerce, there are plenty of dining options around, but this restaurant is by far the most popular, (as proven by the packed outdoor tables of people drinking cocktails and enjoying the freshness of the near-spring air).

25th January 2024
The term "mindful mixology" might sound like a buzzword, but its roots lie in a genuine desire to create sophisticated, complex, and enjoyable drinks without the use of alcohol. Departing from the traditional notions of imbibing for pure pleasure, this movement is revolutionising the way we approach socialising, raising a glass, and, most importantly, what goes into that glass. As Dry January gains traction each year, with individuals temporarily abstaining from alcohol to kickstart the year on a healthier note, the spotlight on mindful drinking has never been brighter. Women Who Launch: Kate Reid
5th January 2024
When Kate Reid answers my call, she’s sitting in her Melbourne living room while the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix flashes across her television. To anyone who isn’t familiar with Reid’s story, this detail may feel fairly innocuous, but for fans of her work, it’s a reminder that some passions aren’t always destined to fade into obscurity. While she may be viewing from the comfort of her couch tonight, a few decades ago, Reid was closer to the F1 action than most racing aficionados could ever hope to be. Growing up, her only goal was to one day become a Formula 1 engineer — a dream born in childhood while watching the races every Sunday night with her father. “It was this really special time together,” Reid recalls.
