Palma de Mallorca Off-Season Travel Guide | The Sybarite
20th February 2026
When you first mention Mallorca, tourists typically cite the island's 200+ stunning turquoise-water beaches and the wonderful Mediterranean climate which boasts more than 300 days of sunshine. However, there’s much more to the island than meets the eye. Warm weather aside, Mallorca is steeped in rich culture and an eclectic culinary scene - both of which are especially noticeable in the capital, Palma de Mallorca. Here, the accommodation is geared towards bespoke luxury, with 22 boutique hotels and an astonishing 97% of beds in the city belonging to five-star hotels. Visit in January and you will encounter vibrant festivals, such as the Sant Antoni Festival and the Sant Sebastià Festival. The weather is still at a respectable 15-16 degrees Celsius, and you won’t have to battle the tourist queues at cultural sites and restaurants.

Out On The Wily, Windy Moors
17th February 2026
News of Emerald Fennell’s racy adaptation of Emily Brontë’s 1847 classic, Wuthering Heights, seems to have had everyone gripped for months - and now it’s finally on our screens. Whatever your thoughts on the film, it’s rare that a production provides an opportunity for both set-jetting and literary tourism - but, as much as critics have raised eyebrows at Fennell’s various departures from the novel, one vital aspect has been retained: the wild Yorkshire moors that provide the story’s physical and emotional landscape.
POST Family Resort Austria: Luxury Family Escape | The...
10th February 2026
POST Family Resort is a four-star family neverland we could happily return to again and again. What many don’t realise is that the property carries over 400 years of history. Once a postal station — hence the name POST — the building changed hands in 1955 before eventually finding its true identity in 1985 as a small, family-run hotel with just 25 rooms. Today, after extensive renovations, POST has evolved beautifully for modern families who value comfort, thoughtfulness and quality, without losing its soul.

The Ultimate Dublin Itinerary
16th February 2023
All great cities have a distinctive vibe but none more so, perhaps, than Dublin. With a tourist trade based on its famous pub-dominated nightlife, Ireland’s capital has always had a reputation for being a fun, friendly city. But in the last few years Dublin’s star has risen even further. It was recently ranked at 19 by the World’s Best Cities committee – above all British cities bar London – who described it as ‘safe, gregarious and increasingly wealthy’. And of course celebrating St Patrick’s Day at the source is a bucket-list experience – although in Dublin, the festivities last for five days, not just one. For the week around Friday 17th March, Dublin will be even busier, merrier and more entertaining than usual. As is tradition, the St Patrick’s Day parade will kick off in the city centre on the 17th itself and after a two-year break due to the pandemic, this year’s is shaping up to be the biggest ever. New for 2023, the National Museum of Ireland is hosting a ‘day-to-night urban festival’ in the grounds of the Museum of Decorative Arts and History from the 16th to the 20th, with comedy, dance, music and ‘spectacle’. And throughout the city, venues will be entertaining the crowds with a curated programme of events.

Luxury Country Breaks: The Cotswolds
9th February 2023
A designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, encompassing almost 800 square miles that run through five counties – Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Wiltshire and Worcestershire, The Cotswolds is the perfect stay-cation for you and your beau. But where should you stay when they're so many places to pick from? Renowned for its honey-stoned bricks, Moreton-in-Marsh emerges as a quaint market town nestled in the Cotswolds region, where we were fortunate to spend a delightful winter weekend this past January. While navigating the rural lanes, I observed the presence of age-old churches, elegant countryside taverns, and picturesque villages. The landscape seemed suspended in history, embraced by serene, undulating hills and captivating vintage shops. Naturally, my excitement peaked as we eventually arrived at our charming cottage in the heart of Moreton-in-Marsh.
Basel - Switzerlands Perfect Romantic Getaway
14th February 2022
You might be thinking of cosy chalets with snow-capped mountains in the backdrop. However, I would recommend the hidden gem that is Basel instead. It is far away from the Swiss Alps, but in fact, it is the third-most populous city in Switzerland. With its proximity to France and Germany, it's always been more multicultural than other parts of the country. It is a city that effortlessly intertwines history with modernity. It is a fabulous city for lovers because you have so much to talk about whether it's their cultural, architectural, or gastronomical excellence. With around 40 museums, it is the museum capital of Switzerland. Despite opening around 25 years ago only and being privately funded, Foundation Beyeler is the most visited museum in the whole country. And it's hardly surprising considering the blockbuster exhibitions they keep securing like the recent Goya retrospective. In their anniversary year, this year, they've secured spectacular exclusives like their current Georgia O'Keeffe exhibition with her unique take on capturing the beauty of flowers. Her works rarely leave the United States, so it's a real coup for the local community.
Review of The Luxury Insider Reviews Hotel nhow - Londons boldest...
3rd February 2022
This isn’t the sort of hotel I would normally check into, but its interiors fascinated me and so, I was intrigued about how much luxury this uber-cool hotel could provide. Just 10 minutes from Angel and Old Street stations, the nhow is incredibly convenient for anyone exploring this side of the city. The outside is quite unremarkable, but once you walk through the doors you're greeted by a bold and playful British theme which looks like it could have been created by Lewis Carroll and Banksy - think graffiti, a 30ft rocket ship Big Ben and House of Hackney seating that wouldn't look out of place at the Mad Hatter's tea party. If nothing else, it oozes fun and fits with it’s east London location.
Where to celebrate Chinese New Year in London
11th February 2016
In short, it is two weeks of constant eating, merriment and customary rituals. 2016 is said to be the ‘Year of the Monkey’, specifically the 'Fire Monkey'. Zodiac observers will expect “an element of vitality, a little bit more power and energy” in the year ahead. For those born under the Monkey sign, the upcoming year is expected bring more “focus” and a lot more “attention to detail” in all that they do. Although Asian in origin, the festive period has become universally acknowledged and celebrated, meaning you won’t miss out, no matter where you are in the world. Here's our top ‘picks’ of the best ways in which to celebrate in London:
Featuring Sneak Peak: The Oscars ‘Swag Bag’ is here
10th February 2016
The fabulous people, couture outfits, high-profile events and celebrity gossip are already making it into the media. Next on our radar is possibly the most famous awards ceremony in the world. The 88th Academy Awards is set to take place on the 28th of this month and will be hosted by comedian and actor Chris Rock. Arguably the souvenir every guest would like to get their hands on is the highly renowned golden statue. However, seeing as our acting skills aren’t quite up to scratch, we've decided to turn our attention to the next best thing - the Oscar-worthy goodie bag. No A-List celebrity will go home empty handed as each will receive one of these ‘swag bags’, the ultimate metaphor for the surreal nature of the Hollywood lifestyle - this year rumoured to be worth a staggering $200,000. So what could possibly be in such a goodie bag to result in such an amount you wonder? It’s a far cry from a balloon and a slice of cake, but then again this is Hollywood, and here’s a sneak peak…
Dreaming of the Maldives? Feel inspired by these two...
3rd February 2016
This private island is your definition of an escape, of your ‘nowhere-to-be-found’ and where you can be indulgent with discretion. The Cheval Blanc Randheli was conceived by its architect Jean-Michel Gathy and invites you to “experience French Art de Recevoir”- or in other words the art of hospitality. Unlike other villas of the sort, Cheval Blanc is a completely secluded lagoon offering a rare experience for its discerning guests. If you ever considered holidaying on your own private island and haven’t done so yet, you might wish to consider Cheval Blanc Randheli Owner’s Villa. Stretching over 8000 sqm and only accessible by private berth and jetty, Owner’s Villa is a four-bedroom luxury abode with a 25 m outdoor pool, Jacuzzi, crystal clear beaches, lush gardens, and a spa to match.
