Bow Down
Dim sum fans rejoice! Throughout August, Yauatcha’s Soho and City restaurants are offering their infinite Yum Cha brunch. For £45pp, guests can enjoy unlimited servings of steamed, fried and baked dim sum, signature baos, and mains including stir-fried rib eye beef and sweet and spicy cod curry. To round off your Cantonese feast, opt for the indulgent soufflé honeycomb pancakes.
From 1 August, 108 Brasserie & Bar is levelling things up with a bespoke margarita menu. Spruce up your tipple with a jalapeño, a habanero or a ghost pepper, or spin the wheel for a spicy surprise. The menu also features a spicy margarita flight teeming with an array of punchy flavours including pineapple, basil and passion fruit. Knock yourself out.
Hankering after a slice of Provence? From 1 August through September, Château La Coste and Ham Yard Hotel are launching their Rosé on the Roof experience. Open Wednesday to Sunday from 3pm, guests can savour organic roséwines, including a new alcohol-free option, alongside an array of seasonal plates and olive oil ice cream. For an added dose of zen, their terrace will be transformed into a Mediterranean paradise with calming lavender.
Eric Huang’s cult NYC fried chicken joint has made its way to London for an extended pop-up at the Double Standard. From 31 July until 14 September, diners can sample the eatery’s signature chili fried chicken slicked with spicy duck fat chili oil, as well as the Chinatown chicken sandwich with pork floss and smoky mayo. For the ultimate experience, pair these mains with their smashed cucumbers or baked gigante beans with chorizo.
Sebby Holmes, founder of Michelin Bib Gourmand Thai restaurant, Farang, has launched a new range of sizzling Payst sauces. Chief among them is the new Burnt Green Chilli Sauce (£6.49 per bottle) which is ablaze with green chillies and jam-packed with smoky, salty, sweet and sour flavours. The ultimate way to perk up any dish.
Qima Cafe has launched an exclusive dessert menu in partnership with world-renowned pastry chef, Jesús Escalera. Available at Qima’s Covent Garden and Fitzrovia outposts, the new collection features whimsical sweet treats laced with ethically sourced coffee. Highlights include the decadent cacao glace, the pistachio project, the banana toffee crackle and the Qima coffee cup - a trompe-l’oeil masterpiece crafted from dark chocolate mousse, espresso toffee, hazelnut praline and soaked sponge.
Escaping The Big Smoke for a coastal retreat? Award-winning distiller, Salcombe Gin, has launched an exclusive Beach Butler Service at several coastal locations in the South West. With prices starting from £1,000 for two, guests can enjoy a private and portable gin butler service complete with expertly crafted cocktails, Salcombe Gin deckchairs and a parasol to boot. Locations include the five-star country hotel, Lympstone Manor, and clifftop spa hotel, Gara Rock hotel.
Our haircare regime just got upgraded thanks to K18’s new HeatBounce conditioning heat protectant. Powered by a new piece of biotech-powered, patented tech called ResiliCore™, this lightweight haircare hero (£48) has been designed to both shield and condition strands. Rather than sitting on the surface, it penetrates the cortex and offers protection up to 232°C, while also reducing breakage by a whopping 85% when blow drying.

Making a Splash
Beloved by It-Girls all over the world, swimwear brand TRIANGL has hit the jackpot once again with the launch of its new collection, Mirage. The brand’s latest offering (dropping 12 August) features an array of beachwear staples including ultra-flattering bikinis, with co-ordinating shorts and mini skirts. Shoppers can expect saturated flamingo-pinks, red gingham, heart motifs and stripes galore.
Head to Brighton’s Helm gallery from 25 July to 26 August to experience their immersive pop-up, Hotel Helm. Launched in collaboration with cognac house Hennessy, the limited-run installation promises an abundance of prints, paintings and photography from four different artists, as well as an exclusive cocktail menu designed to transport guests to a bygone era. Nostalgic glamour and escapism at its best.
Covent Garden’s five-star hotel, One Aldwych, is launching a pop-up Summer Tea Salon in collaboration with fine jewellery brand, Anabela Chan. Inspired by her latest collection, Fruit Gems™, the hotel’s Executive Chef, Dominic Teague has crafted a trio of whimsical sweet treats with accompanying iced teas. The pop-up will launch on 26 July and will be available every weekend until 14 September, between 12-4pm.
Vegan and cruelty-free makeup brand Kulfi will make its UK debut on 8 August, launching exclusively with Space NK. Founded by Priyanka Ganjoo in 2021, the playful beauty brand takes inspiration from South Asian culture and champions self-expression through unapologetic bold colours. Noteworthy products include a flake-free tubing mascara and a staining lip oil which is available to snap up in nine juicy shades.
On 6 August, Vinterior will launch a new capsule collection in collaboration with Henry Holland x Harlequin fabrics. Six vintage pieces of furniture have been handpicked by Henry, with the designer also reupholstering each pre-loved item with an array of expressive prints. Think chocolate-brown gingham, swirling marble patterns in pistachio-green, and charming floral motifs. The capsule is shoppable, with items starting from £390.
Jo Loves is elevating the home fragrance game with a brand-new two-layered candle inspired by all things jazz. The warm fragrance (£55) blends together amber, lime, bergamot, black cashmeran and tonka notes for a deliciously sophisticated summer scent. It's giving cosy evenings spent with friends and glamorous soirées underneath the setting sun.
Chef duo Louis Korovilas and Taylor Sessegnon-Shakespeare are the brains behind Dante London at the Islington Arts Club. The new joint, which opened on 1 August, runs from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch, with a weekly rotating menu spotlighting seasonal French and Italian dishes. Diners can expect hearty platefuls such as broad bean orzotto with glazed chicken wing, and beef carpaccio with oyster mayonnaise and baby artichokes.
Running from 31 July throughout August, The Dark Horse Camden and The Dark House Terrace are presenting The Summer Sessions - an energising (and totally free!) line-up of live music events including London’s top DJs, and rising soul, R&B, pop and electronic artists. For an extra dose of summertime fun, sample their signature cocktails and bespoke food menu.
Looking to elevate your beauty regime? Clean beauty brand MERIT has a new, bi-phase foaming face wash in the pipeline. Set to launch on 12 August, their Great Skin™ Double Cleanse (£28), promises to remove stubborn makeup, sunscreen and impurities while also offering gentle daily exfoliation for radiant and refreshed skin. The ultimate treat for your skin's moisture barrier.
Soho hotspot Rita’s is elevating London’s after-hours scene with a new 10 After 10 offering. From 4 August, diners seated at 10pm onwards can order classic martinis and margaritas for £10 alongside food including their signature fries. Expect to feast on poached trout with burnt pepper sauce and asparagus, confit duck leg with bitter leaves, summer cherries and pecan, and honey-buttered cornbread.
Subterranean bar Oriole is putting on live performances of blues, jazz, swing and Italian music every Thursday in August from 8-10pm. Feeling peckish? ‘Hot Club’ guests can also dine on dishes from Gustavo Giallonardo, whose menu takes inspiration from Nikkei (Peruvian-Japanese), Argentine-Italian and regional Mexican traditions. Star dishes include sea bass ceviche with amarillo leche de tigre and beetroot with vanilla goat's curd, figs and honey mustard dressing.
Little Bat in Islington has crafted a fruity Summer Spritz cocktail menu for the month of August. Take your pick from four zesty concoctions including the Karnataka (Desi Daru mango vodka, Velvet Falernum, mango liqueur, lime and Showerings cider), and the non-alcoholic Wayfarer (Pathfinder, Bristol Passionfruit, sugar, lime and Bell & Co non-alcoholic Prosecco). For added zing, pair your spritz with £1 oysters available alongside any cocktail or glass of Champagne ordered between 5-8pm.
